I've already voiced my opinion so I just copy it here:
I'd like to make a comment on the following opinion that is representative to what I've read occasionally in different threads:
I think it's equally important to have in the modding committee also players who actually play the game. I think it happens quite often that when you get into modding, you stop playing the game, sometimes even your own mod (I mean: you concentrate on the changes you make while overlooking the gameplay or the other features). At the same time, there're many avid players who don't mod but have much experience with various mods.
Given the open nature of voting and choosing the mods on the TWC (and also the dwindling numbers of the mods), I suspect that it doesn't matter much where do the modding committee members come from. The crucial thing is that they're committed to sacrifice their time for the community. It's really great if somebody can organize the voting process so that everybody interested can vote.
