NUMENOREAN OVERHAUL FOR TATW: DAC 2019

Hello friends and modders,

Around Christmas 2018 i came upon a submod for DAC 1.2. It was called "Gollum's Reunited Kingdom submod for DAC 1.2" (link: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...od-for-DaC-1-2.)
I really liked the idea that you can unite all the dunedain factions into one Kingdom, thats why i overhauled the entire submod as explained below the download link:

Installation: Download the file from the link above, unzip it, rename the unzipped folder "teutonic" and paste it into your Medieval 2 total war/mods folder and launch the teutonic game.

1. Models and textures:
My main concern was the lack of quality in most of the numenorean units and their equipment (mainly spears, swords, shields, scabs, bows, quivers, arrows and javelins).
Some units were so poorly made, had problems with the lightning and shadows, or didnt fit with the others, so i had to fix them, and some i made completely new.
To sum it up, i fixed mistakes in every single of the 78 units, the main line and elite spears, some gondor main line shields, the wooden bows, arrows, javelins are all made by myself, the credit for the rest of the models goes to their respective owners.

2. Unit cards:
Given that most units got a new look, i also had to remade or edit all numenorean unit cards.

3. Unit info cards:
Given that most units got a new look, i also had to remade or edit all numenorean unit info cards.
I will not show a preview here, because its too much work to show off 78 unit cards.

4. Unit sprites:
Most of the unit sprites didnt exist, thats why i remade almost all of them.

5. Faction Symbols for the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor:
The Renunited Kingdom mostly used the Northern Dunedain Symbols, so i gave them some from third age 3.2 and modified them for DAC.

6. Horn Sounds:
One of the most weird things in DAC are the horn sounds.
While northmen got Boromirs Horn sound, Gondor had some weird tribal horns.
I gave Gondor their Horn sound and some trumpet sounds back.

7. Other Factions:
I also did a small overhaul on other factions (correcting weird textures, model bugs, unit cards, unit info cards, some models were retextured - mainly the Imladris units.)

FAQ #1:
Is this mod playable or is it just a mod resource for other modders?
ANSWER#1:
This mod is completely playable, while i also hope that other modders (mainly the DAC and DCI: Last Alliance team) include my work in their mods to raise the quality of numenorean units.
Essentialy it is like DAC 1.2 with the option to form the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor and very high quality units, overlays, unit cards, unit info cards etc.

FAQ #2: Did you do this alone?

ANSWER #2: Yes, but Araval helped me with lots of stuff (how to create unit cards, sounds and so on.)

FAQ #3: How long did this take you?

ANSWER #3:
About half a year of every minute of my freetime.

FAQ #4:
Can we expect any further updates for this overhaul?

ANSWER #4:
All that i wanted to do is done, so no, there wont be any updates here.

FAQ #5:
How do i get the Reunited Kingdom ingame?

Since you have put in so much work I would advise you to go a little farther and make the mod a little more accessible to people if you want them to enjoy.
1. I would make a "units only" version for DAC 3.0..basically a unit replacer. I am sure very few people still play 1.2, and certainly not a mod of 1.2.
2. At the very least only include your changed files in the download. A 10 gb download that requires a program to be downloaded and takes 5-10 hours is just not attractive to most users.
