Yeah another short modest update hidden in the threads: We are on the last 0.5% of the mod, currently working on-

• Trouble-shooting trigger conditions on 440 brand new titles and government offices (mainly gained by acquiring a settlement or combination of settlements)
  
• Assigning historically accurate army sizes and garrisons to our very full and very lively map of over 2000 sites.
  
• Assigning correct models to our 500 original unit entries
  
• I've also just realised the other night that I managed to miss creating proper mercenary pools
  
• We have a small team working specifically and solely on the accurate placement of trade resources AND making them work in the engine (if every region sold fish, no one would trade it...) etc

So hopefully the next thing you'll hear from us, apart from Landil's map showcases- is from the beta testers themselves.

Good news, guys! May I ask you a different question than most of previews questions. Which percentage of the first release will still be M2TW vanilla stuff?

There are mods, then there were Mods.

I will focus on 1: EB, a mod that changed the standard of combining historical accuracy with nice gameplay (and beautiful, sensual sound and packaging) permanently.

With Dominion of the Sword nearing release, I want to post a thread to spur on and congratulate the team for sticking it out through the years and producing what will, and in my experience I can say this, become a monumental work changing the way we look at the middle ages, and taking simulation gaming to a new level altogether.

I look forward to this mod and its epic impact on gaming standards, this mod is one of those modes that not only brings back an old useless game into a "new game" worth replaying, but furthermore will spur further historical debate and act as a true monument to the medieval times which are so misunderstood and in MTWII were absolutely misrepresented. It will be much more like a "new game" it will make the medieval experience enjoyable, playable, maliable and as realistic as the boundaries will allow.

Stay the course during these last week lads! You deserve our most heartfull congratulations and thanks!

Good news, guys! May I ask you a different question than most of previews questions. Which percentage of the first release will still be M2TW vanilla stuff?

I'm not entirely sure about actual numbers, but I can guarantee that most of what you will see in the mod will be our own work or that of collaborating mods. So I'd say maybe 5% will be vanilla stuff, or even less perhaps? One of the few things I can think of that will probably be partially vanilla with the first release, are unit models. Really, even now in the alpha version, very little from vanilla M2TW remains.

In any case, I would kindly like to ask you and everyone else to not post any further questions here, but rather take them to the FAQ thread, because that's what that thread's there for. Thank you.

Heard about this mode in 08 as well... didn't realize it would be half a decade later and still not released. In the process I've graduated university... hopefully the mod releases soon. Keep up the good work.
