Well if you liked those, you'll most likely enjoy these! I just recently added unit models and textures from the M2TW mod Italian Wars to SSHIP, replacing the vanilla models and textures for Renaissance-period/pike-and-shot units. Hopefully I will be able to release a submod about this soon, but I have to gain permission to use Italian Wars' material first. Upon release, I think it might be the very first M2TW mod with Renaissance/pike-and-shot period units combined with a campaign map much larger in scope than just Italy or Germany (i.e. with the massive campaign map of SSHIP including Europe, West Asia, and North Africa).
Here's a taste of what you would be able to see in my submod for SSHIP (I'll put the rest in spoilers and direct you to my Imgur album link below):
Landschneckt Pikemen resting before the fray, waiting for the word of their commander to mobilize:
Venice on the march, entering a besieged fortress:
Soldiers marching, officers carrying the vexilla-style military standards of Pisa and Castile:
Say hello to my fully-armored Swiss Halberdiers and then say goodnight, pal (because you're gonna die):
Say hello to the Swiss Halberdiers again:
Soldiers in the streets:
Swiss Pikemen before the armor upgrade:
Swiss Pikemen after the upgrade:
The Serpentine and the Basilisk, ready to fire:
Pikemen and Dismounted Italian Men at Arms make a deadly combination:
They no longer fear the bombard, but very soon the enemy shall understand the awesome power of the basilisk:
Hungary's Royal Banderium just got some new officers:
The heavy French Lancers ride in style, especially now that they've got a brand new set of officers:
German/HRE Gothic Knights won't be outdone by the French in that department, though, over their dead bodies they'll let a Frenchman upstage them:
What's that? The accursed Germans have new officers for Gothic Knights? Italians from Pisa to Venice are outraged. Famiglia Ducale must have them as well:
The Pikemen know they must protect the artillery from the danger of cavalry charges:
Musketeers enjoy a relaxing stroll in the flowery meadow before shooting people in the face:
Vanilla M2TW Mercenary Arquebusiers look so bland and lifeless; these guys, on the other hand, know how to dress with style!
Here they are again, ready to fire on anyone foolish enough to stare down the muzzle of their arquebus handguns:
The combined officers, military standards, banners, and drummers of the Late Musketeers, Black Band Arquebusiers, and Mercenary Arquebusiers:
Now from the front:
Late Arquebusiers (aka "Portuguese Arquebusiers in export_descr_unit") were wise to wear so much armor, given the armaments of the enemy ahead of them:
Don't be fooled by their fancy attire. Make way for the Doppelsoldner or prepare to be cut in half by their enormous zweihander swords:
I thought I told you to stay away from them??!! Run! Run for your lives!
Black Band Arquebusiers love to taunt the enemy and they most certainly know how to woo a lady by tipping those broad-brimmed hats of theirs, with feathers in their caps:
