    Hello fellow modders and friends,

    1,5 years have passed, since I started my little modding career for tatw, especially for the reunited kingdom submod, I worked basically my entire free time on this. Altough I really liked the reunited kingdom submod, there were things that just didnt fit for me.
    For example there were high quality unit cards mixed together with really weird, 3D, ugly ones. The same with the units ingame: some really high quality units with some that were just ugly and looked like they are imported from another game, or an infantry unit had light plate armor, but the shoulder pauldron had extremly dark armor. There were some unlogic things too: Longbow Archers carrying heavy shields, or some weird bowstring animations. My inspiration always was the vanilla third age mod, there the units from one faction all looked like they belong together.
    So what did I do?
    I basically wanted the units items to look like they are from the movies, and still have a low data size, which i was able to do really well.

    I MADE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

    - NEW NUMENOREAN SWORDS, SPEARS, SHIELDS, WARBOWS, UNIT CARDS, BELTS, QUIVERS FOR ALL ARCHER UNITS, CLAMPS, CLOAK ATTACHMENTS, ARMGUARDS, SHIN GUARDS, SCABS, ARROWS, JAVELINS, BANNERS FOR MILITIA, FIEFDOM, MAIN LINE INFANTRY, AND ELITE UNITS LIKE THEY WERE IN THE MOVIES (ALSO NOTICE THE NEW PAULDRONS FOR THE FOUNTAIN GUARD).

    THERE ARE SOME BELTS WHICH ARE STILL 3D BODYS AND NOT 2D PLANES LIKE I DID WITH THE GONDOR YEOMEN ARCHERS (IMO 2D BELTS LOOK MORE REALISTIC THAN 3D BELTS AND THEY ALSO HAVE LESSER DATA SIZE, SO IF YOU USE THEM, BE SURE TO DELETE ONE FACE, SO THAT THE BELT GETS CONVERTED INTO A 2D SHAPE AND ADD SOME HOLES FOR THE BELT CLAMP IN THE TEXTURE FILE.


    FAQ 1: ON WHICH MOD IS THIS BASED ON, AND ON WHICH SUBMODS CAN THE ITEMS BE USED?
    ANSWER 1: I MADE THESE THINGS ON THE REUNITED KINGDOM SUBMOD FOR MOS 1.62, AND IT CAN BE USED FOR ALL TATW SUBMODS, WITHOUT GIVING ME ANY CREDIT. SOME ITEMS WERE CREATED BY ME ALONE AND SOME WERE CREATED ON THE BASE OF OLDER MODELS, THE CREDITS FOR THESE GO TO THE RESPECTIVE OWNERS OF THE OLDER MODELS.

    FAQ 2: IS THIS SUBMOD OVERHAUL PLAYABLE?
    ANSWER 2: NO, THIS IS JUST A SOURCE FOR EVERY MODDER TO HAVE ACESS ON, THEY CAN COPY MY WORK AND USE IT WITHOUT GIVING ME ANY SHOUTOUTS OR CREDITS. THIS OVERHAUL IS MEANT TO STANDARDIZE THE MODELS OF THE NUMENOREAN FACTIONS IN TATW, SO THEY DONT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE IMPORTED FROM ANOTHER GAME.

    I'd just like to take this public spot and say that this work is phenomenal! I've never seen so highly detailed belt and arrow models for M2TW! The love for Gondor in the highest level!

    @h7GF, That is some very fine work, especially the textures which I've noticed you've managed to improve over vanilla TATW textures by quite a bit. If I might make one little recommendation, if you haven't done this already, you should make your texture maps for both attachments and figure 2048x2048 so you can get the maximum texture detail possible for the engine. Most PCs will be able to handle the enhanced texture sizes just fine since the majority of Med 2 lag related to models comes from polycount, rather than textures (and even that only affects lower-end computers on the Market).I really hope to see more 3D/Texturing work from you in the future, there are not enough resources like this available for TATW/TATW submods, and TATW modding still has many years of life in it yet!

    So, what is this?
    Some sort of showcase? Modding resource? Just some assets for unit creators?

    It looks like a modding resource, yet, when I tested several(22, to be specific) models in my TATW installation, only 6 from them actually worked, everything else got broken textures. And I'm pretty sure, that everything was added correctly, after triple-checking both battlemodels file from archive, and filenames and paths for models and textures.
    I tested Arnorian units, if it helps, particulary men-at-arms(un-upgraded model worked, but not the upgrades), sergeants(none worked), pikemen(same), heavy archers(same), hollowsteel archers(first upgrade broken), infantry(only the second upgrade worked), spearmen(same) and 2-handed infantry(dismounted knights, or like this - worked). Other Arnorian and Gondorian models weren't tested.

    Hopefully, any graphical issues will be fixed soon, as those models(working ones) look really awesome!

    So yes, this is a resource. I can't say if everything is 100% there but I got the files I was specifically looking for.

    @marcofar, I saw your post on author's page, when searched for answers.

    Also, I looked further into the problem, and discovered that primary attachment textures for Arnor models(ones that cover shields, weapons, and helmets) - arnor_diff and arnor.norm(don't remember the exact name), have a different change date, then most of the models they cover, except for basic men-at-arms. h7GF must have changed those textures, and either forgot to adjust the remaning models to them, or simply didn't added them to the archive.
    As there are no attachment textures with the correct date present in the archive, and my graphical skills are fairy limited in this regard, we can only pray for his return to fix this mistake.

    TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
    Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

    IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
    Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

    Thanks, that's the TATW one. The DaC version of this submod (https://www.twcenter.net/forums/show...-TATW-DAC-2019) is not there in the thread, probably affected by the removal of the DaC forum here, since it was moved from here to DaC.
