Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron

Father Cameron prepares to begin the morning sermon. As he looks out to the seating, he is greatly dissapointed by the lack of visitors to the cathedral. When it seems as if no more people will join, he begins his sermon.

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron

The sermon drags on for what seems to be hours, as the lay people sit in anticipation. Finally, after 2 hours of service, Cameron draws to the end, and motions that the people may leave. Stepping down, he sees Lords Richard and Gregor walking up to him, John says, "It is a pleasure to see thee here, I hope that you did not find my service too dull?" He then laughs softly, and continues, "How goes the business of the state my sons?"

Gregor stands, ignoring Richards last statment
'Never dull father, the most interesting thing I have heard in months. Saddly that may be true, the rest merely being taxes, and army payemnts.'
He chuckled
'Buisiness fairs well, the rebuilding in my lands atleast is progressing quickly, and it seems England is finally united under one banner again.'

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron

That is truely joyous news, I presume you are glad to be back to your manors, and away from the dangers of war? I cannot see how you men can fight so bravely in the face of death, though I am a man of faith, my bravery cannot compare to even the lowliest of Knights.

John laughs heartily, "I see you two enjoy competition, I wonder how much this is about the surgeon, or just winning the race to attain him."

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron

Notice: Bishop Cameron has undertaken a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, you must journey there to seek his counsel. All those eager to make their mark in christendom are welcome to join the crusade, with the consent of Lord William, the leader of the campaign.

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron

Notice: The Bishop has returned from his pilgimage

Reginald walks into the cathedral shortly before the sermon and takes a seat.

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron

"Ah Reginald, it is good to see you. I'm sorry, but I can not speak to you now, I must prepare for a grand ceremony. Very soon Lord Gregor will be having his wedding here. Goodday" The Bisop quickly ran off, chasing after a young monk.

"I see then... I wish you well in the selection for archbishop, Father Cameron!"

Reginald called out before riding off

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron (Event: Lord Gregor's Wedding)

Gregor bounced on his heels from his nervousness, that in any other case his rank would not permit
'A good year for both of us then, as the King has given me control of Aquitaine just this month. Of coarse I lose good old Winchester, but alas, maybe you can get it eh? And as you know,'
He smiled
'I am also getting married, a duke needs a beutiful and smart wife does he not?'

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron (Event: Lord Gregor's Wedding)

The Bishop was waiting at the altar, while the guests were flooding into the church. Once the seats were filled, the ceremony began. The guests sat in silence for a long period of time, until finally the climax came. Lord Gregor, edorned in exquisite clothes from Italy and Greece, was standing at the altar sweating due to anxiety and pacing slowly. He heard footsteps behind him, and was about to turn before he regained his consciousness, then he said to himself quietly, "Phew, So this is it." He breathed deeply and then looked down towards his feet.

Behind him, his bride and her father were still coming forward slow and deliberately, with each step bringing Lord Gregor and his bride closer together. Finally, after a long minute had past, they reached the altar, and Sir Aves returned to his seat. Elizabeth stepped forward and grasped Lord Gregor's hand. Shocked, the Duke recoiled slightly before regaining his composure.

With the couple now standing in front of him, The Bishop smiled and then began. He read the prayers, and went through the traditional passes of the marriage ceremony. Finally, he came to the vows, first he turned to Lord Gregor, and then spoke, "Do you, Lord Gregor, take Elizabeth Aves to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?"

After a short pause, John looked up at Lord Gregor, and whispered softly, "Lord Gregor? Your Response?"

OOC: Sorry, probably did this wrong, its been a while since I've been to a wedding.

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron (Event: Lord Gregor's Wedding)

OOC: Oh no... He is too nervous and can't respond. Lol... Lets just pretend their conversation happened before the post.

Re: Wells Cathedral: Seat of Bishop John Cameron (Event: Lord Gregor's Wedding)

John nodded and then faced Elizabeth, "And do you, Elizabeth Aves take Lord Gregor to be your lawfully wedded husband."

Elizabeth smiled, "I do."

"Then, I now pronounce you man and wife. Lord Gregor, you may now kiss the bride."

OOC: Sorry Nole, what is your charcter's first name?

Seeing the wedding has finished, Reginald rides back to the Cathedral. He shouts to a monk...

"where may I find the archbishop at this hour?"
