Anyone watch this? I was out of school last week and started to get into it, I watched the odd episode from season 2 on Paramount Comedy and then after seeing the series 2 finale, I watched every epsiode from season 3, 4 and 5 on the internet, hard to get it here in Ireland. Sad I know, but it was either that I watch repeats of other shows on TV.

Anyway, can't wait till the 9th to see what has happened with Michael's new company

I'm the opposite. I found the show to be depressing in general and the comedy to be stiff and akward. The American one is hilarious at times and the storylines are great.

Thats the point..its very subtle. While I do enjoy the American one as well, its very unrealistic and over the top at times. You can't relate to it the same way as the UK, because its a fictitious environment.

Everyone knows the English are masters of subtle comedy but you cant just excuse boring as subtle. I love the way the US version does it, very direct but still enough subtlety so it's not just crappy shock value humor.

Then again I'm American.

Yeah, that seems to be the common opinion. Although, I found the american one to be pretty realistic. I agree it does go over the top at times, but I find it deals with it in realistic ways

Just been watching a few episodes from the first season, it was pretty crap back then really. The acting was fairly dull and Steve Carrell wasn't doing very well in his role. Its come a lot way from then.

Its a pain that I can't watch new episodes on TV, it would really make it better. Instead I'm stuck with sucky CNBC

I actually thought the same thing when I started off with the show, since a friend let me borrow seasons 1-4 happy I watched the pilot and switched to season 2 halfway through.

But when I was done with the other three, I watched it all the way through and it was surprisingly good once it got into it. The only problem was most of the characters werent very developed yet, they were still just breaking in to what they were doing.

Seen Season 1 of the US Office, and virtually all of the UK one.

I do prefer the UK one (although I am British) but I thought the US one was actually pretty good too. Which surprised me, as I'd assumed it would be almost unrecognisable, and ruined.

There's one way that the US Office could never, ever measure up to the UK version, though. The outtakes. Ricky Gervais' laugh is the funniest thing in history.

Well, now that Paramount Comedy is changing to Comedy Central, they are going to start showing episodes from season 3. However, they are only showing one a week. So they are more then two seasons behind and going to catch up by going at the same speed.

Ah well, I'm up to date. It will be like revision for me

Yeah, thats what I was talking about the casting. Steve Carrol, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fisher and John Krasinski could do the show on their own, amazing actors.

Anyway, I really hope Jim and Pam don't end up as a married couple. Actually I'm sure they will break up at some point. The life of a married office couple would just be so uninteresting, and on the flip side a break up would be awesome.

Sure he's no Al Pacino but the guys a damn good actor whos made for comedy (particularly playing losers, douchebags or everything in between)

Seriously? That would completly ruin the show for me. And I'd say if it did happen, most people would be like "WTF?" unless there was an amazing story behind it
