The McDougal House

Stenfelt.gif

Family Biography
The family started its journey from humble beginings. Arthur Mcdugal was but a simple farmer with revenge on his mind when he met Owain. With him and others they overtrew the current Scottish King placing Owain in power. At the celebratory joust Arthur gained some prominince, after beating many higher ranking nobles and for it was knighted. Months later he was granted an Earldom. Sadly after his passing the McDougal name was all but forgotten in England and Scotland. The next names of the family would ounce again have to rise from obsurty. And Andrew would be the first to show, almost 100 years after his great grandfather did. Andrew McDougal, a farmer from outside London kept the humble and noble nature of his ancestors and gained knighthood fairly quickly upon his appearance onto the scene. King Geoffery II knigted Andrew for the co-creation of The Knights of St. George, along with Hunter and Raven, the visionary of the order. He was promoted to Commandant of the order and took over during the brewing struggles of England and Grandmaster Ravens death. But He too was assassinated for his support of the King during these times. And so Arthur II rose to houshold leader. Knighted for winning a swordplay tournament, he was also instrumental in the exposing of the Bishop O'Neils plans to kill King Geoffery II. For it he was awarded the title of baronet. He even joined the Hospitallers, and led them fora short time.He produced a single heir Gregor McDougal, and died a heroic death defending the crown from rebels. So now His wife Heather takes lead, doing what she can for her baby son. What the future holds for the family no one knows...

THE HOUSE OF CORLEONE

Also known as: THE HOUSE OF CLINTON-CORLEONE

CIRCA 1235-PRESENT

HISTORY: The man considered to be the founder of the house is Vito Corleone (1195-1261), a native Sicilian who came to England in the 1220s. Vito's mother, an Englishwoman, is now known to have been a direct descendant of William Clinton (1054-1086), England's first Lord Chancellor and a powerful figure in the early Kingdom, thus strengthening the political authority of the Corleones today. Vito served two nonconsecutive terms as Lord Chancellor himself in the 1250s, and held that office at the time of the death of his eldest son, Santino. In the mid-1250s, Santino the Foolhardy, as he is known, became involved in a personal vendetta against the bandits and brigands infesting the countryside at the time. He was mostly successful in cleaning up these rebels, but was himself murdered in Sherwood in 1258. Vito refused to take revenge for his son's death, instead using his position to offer large tributes to brigand leaders to leave the English domain. He was successful, and brigands have not been a major problem in England since.

Upon Vito's death of natural causes in 1261 - allegedly, while tending his garden - Santino's eldest son Francesco, also known as Francis, assumed leadership of the family at the age of 18. He casually expanded the House's influence over the next two decades before joining the Crusade of 1285. Thanks in great part to the army of Englishmen and Sicilians headed by Francesco Corleone, Jerusalem was briefly but victoriously held by Christian hands in 1288. The following year, however, the Fatimid army retook the city and slaughtered all surviving defenders, among them Francesco the Crusader.

The next leader of the Corleone Family was Vito Antonio Corleone (1265-1312), the eldest surviving son of Francesco. Born at the castle of the Polo family in Caernarvon, Vito Antonio, like his great-grandfather and namesake, was a charismatic figure, a natural leader of men. However, his greatest legacy was that of his passion for construction, for which he is rightfully known as 'The Builder'. He died peacefully at his home in York, leaving his entire estate to his only heir, Salvatore, who was thirty years of age.

It was during the leadership of Salvatore Corleone that the family lost its status of nobility, not to be regained for nearly three decades. In the early 1320s, he supported a minor French noble who he did not realize was responsible for a recent series of attacks by French pirates on the Hampshire coast. For this, King Geoffry stripped him of his earldom, but did not have him arrested or dishonoured in any other manner. Out of shame, Salvatore stepped down as head of the House of Corleone in 1324, passing the leadership on to his eldest son, Leonardo Corleone (1301-1337), better known as Leonard. Salvatore was killed in action in France in 1339.

Leonard Rocco Corleone, in his early twenties, appeared in many ways to be the true successor to his noble ancestor Vito, both physically and mentally. But, stripped of his nobility due to the indiscretion of his father, there was little he could do to better his family's reputation. So, after building a modest home just outside of London, Leonard settled for the humble life of a farmer until he volunteered for combat when war erupted with the French. In one of the first major battles of the ongoing war, he was killed in Normandy in 1337. As his eldest son and de facto heir Michael Corleone, a lad of nineteen, was studying in Italy at the time, and his other sons were not yet of age, leadership of the family passed to his nephew, Vincenzo 'Vincent' Corleone (1309-1340?).

Vincent Corleone, a brash and temperamental man, was in many ways similar to his ancestor Santino, and abandoned the responsibility of family leadership to seek adventure and riches in France. Several years later, he disappeared from the record - probably killed in battle somewhere on the mainland. Around this time, in 1340, Michael Corleone returned to England to find the House of Corleone in shambles. His brothers Federico and Antonio were leading armies in France at the time, and none of his various cousins had shown interest in taking leadership of the family. So, in the spring of 1241, Michael married a girl by the name of Apollonia Vitelli, who soon gave birth to a son whom was named after his noble ancestor, Vito Corleone. Several years later, in the Wars of Succession of 1346, Michael bet on the right horse by supporting Duke Edmund Blackadder in his bid for the throne - unlike his grandfather, who had lost his title due to a similarly risky move. Michael, on the other hand, was rewarded not only by being made Lord Chancellor of England, but also was given the Duchy of Wales and the authority and prestige thereof. For the first time in nearly half a century, the House of Corleone was on the rise once again.

Background
Perhaps the oldest family line in history, the Rufian clan are descended from Roman times. With the fall of the Empire the Rufians escaped by interbreeding with the Franks. Thus with the current day thousands of men are present with Rufian blood. Though Rufian bloodline was made known through King Rufus the Mad of England, King Rufus the tyrant of Scotland and the current Captain de Rufio of Florence, the Rufus bloodline has had many other famous holders. Caesar was known to have some Rufus blood from his 190 BC ancestor Gaius Cornelius Rufus. Emperor Trajan had a small amount from his late father's side. Justinian and Germanicus had Rufian blood. Charlemagne had large amounts of Rufian ancestors. The Rufus family is the largest coherrent noble family in the world with nobles, kings, lords and Emperors in England, Germany, France, Spain and Italy.

The most famous Rufian is King Henry "Rufus" the Mad of England. He came to the throne after assasinating King William the Conqueror of Normandy and his two brothers Robert and Henry. He took the city of York and established a effective army for England. Many of the families he put into power remain so today including the Blackadders, the Clintons, the Temple--Nugents and the Wilsons. The King's most infamous moment is the well known Council of Sherwood. There, Rufus killed multiple rebel leaders most famous of whom was Father Lancaster, England's first Bishop. Rufus was later killed by his son Henry Rufus II. Henry Rufus was then crowned King of England.

During Rufus II's reign the monarch lost more and more power. Being 16 the King was ever influenced by the Order of the Rose and the Church, the two powerful entities at the time. He died early of heart failiure. On his death bed Rufus II apologized to England for his father's behaviour and councelled the world to try and see his father as a human. He then left the throne to his dearest friend Admiral Lancaster.

However, they reemerged when Henry de Bois, a cursed and sad man returned from France to England. De Bois was the original name of the primary branch of the Rufians. Henry tried to lead a rebellion against the current King but failed and was killed by a Baron named Mickail.

Henry's son, John, was enslaved by German slavers. John was a bastard. He broke away and left for France. In France, recognized as a De Bois by King Louis, he was hunted. Princess Maria of France stowed him away and they left for the Holy Land to start a new life together.

It was not meant to be. In a swirl of random events John and Maria found themselves back in England with Owain. Togther Owain and John led a insurrection and took control of the Scottish crown. Now King, John renamed himself to Rufus. The Rufian name had returned and soon he was feared all throughout England. Owain however had other plans. He took the crown from himself and married Maria. Owain and John each had a son with Maria. That son is still alive somewhere. The other Owain Rufus Davis went on to kill himself while in prison after a unsuccessful attempt at power.

The current Rufus is the son of the mysterious son of John Rufus. He is a ruthless yet compassionate man. He revealed a plot to take the throne by the Order of Sangreal but in a brief moment of compassion allowed the Order to escape from England. He then left fro France due to lack of appreciation by King Geoffrey and joined the French. He became Lord Rufus of Normandy and wreaked havok on Northern France killing thousands in blind madness. He then made a brief ill fated invasion of England but due to loss of multiple ships during the channel crossing lost the battle of Cornwall.

Rufus then went to Italy and took control of a company of Condotta mercenaries known as the Legion. He then forcefully took control of Florence and established a Dictatorship out of the city. However, with recent events in England he has be spurred to return.

Name
The name Rufus is not the actual last name of most Rufians. Rufus is actually just a common name used to describe those descended from the Roman Rufus'. Many have different last names. Some famous last names of known Rufian families are the De Bois, the Davis, the Habsburgs, the Bourbons, the Ottonians and the Capetians. While most are aware of their Rufian heritage, very few bring it to light. The Davis and the De Bois are well known for their Rufian members and the Habsburgs have their fair share of pronounced Rufians.

Imperial-Rose-Collections-Logo-Crest.jpg

From Democracy game to GSTK 1: The Temple-Nugent family, aka Rose Nugent has been since the very beginning. The beginning not being "Not England With Rufus" but infact the actual first King the Temple-Nugents served Being the Kaiser of The Holy Roman Empire. (headed by Bluice). From starting out as a freedman Andrew quickly grew to the Ministory of Defence deputy, Then when the empire fell the, familly followed William of normandy to Engand where he quickly grew to become married into the royal bloodline of Rufus the first and gaining the Caen fief.

Shortly after the marrage into the familly the Temple-Nugent family found themselve in the middle of a full scale civil war. Not knowing what to do the Legendary "Andrew Temple-Nugent" Joined the king and created a plan to end the civil war. The problem with this war was that if you didn't support of the sides you would be killed by the winner, for not supporting them.

Andrew told the king that he would be willing to join the huge rebellion army and assassinate its members from within or to persuade them to join the king under secrecy. Now Andrew was untouchable in this war and could remain neutral through the process. However Andrew noticed that some of the rebellion members didn't want to actually be there.

Andrew made a new plan, a very dangerous plan which could lead to him being hanged. He sent letters to his friends asking them if they would be interrested in escaping this war and joining Andrew Neutral faction which he called "The Order of the Rose" (Rose being the symbol of England, The Order of England). It was a success, almost immediatly 4+ members which he had sent letters to agreed to join the neutral faction.

(here is what he sent)
Dear Friend, I am just sending letters to every one to see what they thought about this war. Don't worry I this is strictly confidential. Would you rather the King remains king? or that Alerick becomes king? or how about staying out of this war and not risking death.? Please send a letter with your reply
(if accepted)
Well done you have passed my test, now I have something of great secrecy. Would you be willing to betray your current leader inorder to find salvation in under my banner? Don't worry the King and Alerick are protecting my banner and don't even know it.

Now that Andrew had some followers he asked his men to pretend to serve their former masters and gave the names of his followers to king rufus saying "My Liege, Do not kill these former rebels because they now support thee" ( a lie ofcourse). Andrew believed he should name his faction and came up with an ilegal order "The Order of the Rose" (it was made in secrent and had an alligence to no one but the people of England). Andrew changed his name to Rose-Nugent.

The Order began to grow so fast it was unbeliveable, only 3 people were still left to join "Alerick, Rufus and the loyal man of the king, Blackadder". But something was happening within the ranks of the Order. From out of no where members forgot about the reason why they joined (to seek salvation) and began hinting that we could overthrow the king. Andrew allowed the order members a vote. The verdict was: Kill the King, Kill Alerick, Save the people. So Andrew once again hit the plannng board.

Andrew still believed to be an extremely loyal member of both the King and the Rebels was being offered such things as Promotions, Gold and land, none of them impressed him, only freedom was on his mind. Andrew said to the king we should meet up with the rebels to try and discuss the war and hopefully end it. Both armies agreed and now with everyone in England were either a Member or supported the order except the two leaders, they didn't know what they were walking into.

The Meeting was called the "Council of sherwood" and the place was surrounded by the Order (still know one knew about it) and the two leaders met. As soon as they sat down the Order pulled out their swords and attacked. There was a problem... The King bribed the Sherwood Archers to fight for him and aided him in escaping. Alerick however didn't run, he grabbed his sword and tried to resist, but being stripped of his honor he didn't put up much of a fight. Andrew seeing a broken man said "I am not god nor the people, Allow them to decide this mans fate" and released the heart broken leader. Now the Order became known and it wasn't long until the Church arrived.

Andrew began seeking aid from the Church and requested they'd send an army to help him kill the Heretic King Rufus who believed himself to be a god. But Andrew knew that the Church could not be trusted, because once they come... they never leave. The plan was to persuade the Church to fight the Army of Rufus whilst Andrew tried to get rid of the king. Andrews Terms were:

Rufus I will be placed on trial, Rufus II the heir will become the new King of England, The following office will be created to secure the rights of the people "Lord Chancellor", The Courts verdict will now be decided by the people (Jury) and all members of the Order will be excused for any laws broken in the past. and I Andrew Rose-Nugent will face trial by jury and juged by the lord chancellor to decide my future.

When the Terms were sent the Church had destroyed Rufus's army and captured Caen, The King accepted Andrew terms. But although the battle between the King and Andrew was over... War was begining in parliament. The Church wanted Andrew dead and the order destroyed. SO Andrew held a vote in the commons allowing the people to decide, This meant Andrew Defied the Chruch and was being considered an enemy. The people Voted to keep the Order (because every voter except clergy wanted to keep the order). A few weeks passed and Andrew realised that another civil war was brewing, sadly he decided to pass the order down to "Thomas Lancaster" and allowed him to rule the order.

Andrew was never heard of again, Also he produced no heirs. However he did have a brother "Deveraux Temple Nugent" and his son "Robin Temple-Nugent".

The Temple-Nugent familly came from a town called Nogent in Normandy and did have ties with the Plantagenet family, but due to a fire and the death of the entire familly except 2 babies (Andrew/Deveraux) they lost their titles, and history.

The Order of the Rose Ilegal it may have been Never acutally died, Although disbanded aslong as their are still Temple-Nugents around, Simply speak to one and he will help you. The Order of The Rose Sleeps until it is needed once again in war.

Sorry I wrote so much guys, but thanks for reading the first paragraph and then say omg I ain't reading all that. Oh if there are any mistakes... tuff I aint searching through all of that.

The Blackadder Clan

1066-Present
The Beginning of the Blackadders are shrouded in mystery, the first of the Line was infact not a Blackadder but a Goodrich, Swindhelm Goodrich a noble Thane in the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Wessex. He rose to become a very powerful Lord but was thrown from power by Godwinsson, he then betrayed the Saxons and went over to the Normans allowing for a great victory to be had.

The House of Lancaster
Circa: 1066-Present

In 1066, Thomas Lancaster became a close friend of The Norman Conquer, William I. When William became King after the death of Harol Godwinson, Thomas was appoint by Pope Alexander II himself to head the new Catholic church in England. In 1081, after the death of William I, Rufus I rose to the throne. In the beginning he was kind and just, but throughout the years turn cold as ice. He began killing people for no reason, and from this, a rebellion occured.

Thomas found it best to help the rebels get rid of the king, and left as Cardinal. Archbishop Aston Huxely replaced him on Thomas' request. Thomas joined several other rebels like Andrew Rose-Nugent, Alerick of the Ironwill, and many other men fighting against Rufus. And with this, the Order of the Rose was founded. Head by Sir Andrew Rose-Nugent, Thomas became second in command.

While members of the order were organized, they requested a meeting with the king. The meeting took place in Sherwood Forrest of all places. While at the meeting, Rufus ordered bowmen to fire, killing many low level members of the Order in the first few vollies. Thomas drew his sword in an attempt to fight Rufus. Rufus quickly pulled out a dagger, and stabbed Thomas in the chest. Gareth Lleylwen was the last man to see Thomas Lancaster alive. Rufus committed suicide later one and his son, Rufus II, became king.

Since Thomas had no children, he's nephew, Edward Glouchester, rose in the ranks. He was appointed High Admiral of the English navy by King Rufus II. Not much else is known about Edward, except he was killed by the Heretic Blackstone.

Many years passed before another notable Lancaster came to power. King Rufus II came down with pnemonia. On his death bed, he left the kingdom to Richard Lancaster, a low level Baron at the time. Richard made Alerick IV of the Ironwill the Earl of Exeter. In turn, Richard recieved Alericks undying loyalty to him. Richard found out about plots by Scotland to place spies in the Royal Castle. With this, he arrested Nobby Stykes and Robert Blake. A few days later, he ordered the execution of Robert Blake for treason. It was perfomed by Alerick IV of the Ironwill.

After Richard died, the throne passed to another not well know family and many unliked kings. But in the 13th century, a Lancaster would again rule England. Henry Lancaster was the heir to King John of the House of Plantegent. With Henry's rule, the entire earth would shake.

Henry ordered the construction of the Tower of London, which is still being used today to hold the worst criminals in England. During Henry's reign, two men. Owain Davis & Rafael Hohenstafaen, caused much chaos in England. They terrified the people to make there points. While they were wanted by the crown, they took shelter in a Hospitaller Chapter House. After learning of this, henry had it burned to the grown with all the hospitallers inside for failure to report the terroist.

The fugitives were finally captured weeks later. Archbishop Hywel Caradog requested they be burnt as heretics. Henry obliged. But they escaped death once more and this time, the Archbishop was furious for the burning of the Hospitaller house. He raised an army along with the nobles of England and confronted Henry on a bridge outside London. Henry wanted it to end. But while in the midst of speaking to the Archbishop, Henry fell to the ground off of his horse. The Archbishop hurried to him. Henry had a heart attack and died there and then. Although, many rumors sugest it was an arrow from the Polo family that took his life. Only the Polo's, Caradog's, and Lancaster's know the truth

After his death, Caradog was pronounced regent. Alerick, who married Henry's daughter, become the knew King. Owain Davis did not like this, and fought Alerick in the arena. He beat him, and become King in turn.

After Henry's death, his wife, sons, and daughters fled to English held Norway in flight from the aftermath. But Henry's nephew, Robert Lancaster, would truly define the word "dark".
Robert was a simple Priest, not looking for wealth, only for God. When another Civil war broke out, Robert supported King Owain. On the battlefield, he was known to be the most powerful force. It is rumored he struck a man with his bible and caused demons to come out of him. After the rebellion, Robert befriended Owain, and become close friends. Robert was appointed the Lord Chief Justice by Owain, and enforced the law heavily. Rafael Hohenstafaen become a Noble, one who resented King Owain for his previous actions. One night, while the King was holding a fiest with Rafael and other men who resented Davis, Robert stormed in with the Royal Court Guards. With this, he nearly killed Rafael. He though for sure he would die from wounds. Owain was sick by this time, and started to cough up blood. Owain died, leaving Robert the most hated man in England.

But Robert, often called "Robert the Black", had many tricks and knew everyone in the book. In the count yof Somerset, Rafaelhad fortified his castle. It came under siege by other nobles, and Robert was one of the first ones there. Rafael had killed Gareth, the Prince of Wales and the hear, for this, he had to die.

Robert and Rafael battled round after round. In the end, Rafaels evil heart was cut out. Robert, who was made Baron of Somerset and Dorset, lived a peaceful live in France and died a few years later.

Charles Lancaster was the grandson of Robert. Not much is known expept he killed a royal guard of King Geoffry II and was killed in the Tower by an assassin.

Robert Lancaster II had a different approach. He helped defend the taken city of Calais from the French. In return he was knighed and was given the Baronies of Somerset & dorset just as his Great Grandfather. In an assassination plot, along with Owain Davis IV, Robert and Owain killed king Geoffry I. They tried to take the throne, but the Kings half brother, Jame Colville, gathered too much resent against them. Robert turned himself in to Duke Edmund Blackadder, and later took his own life while in the Blackadder dungeon.

They terrified the people to make there points. While they were wanted by the crown, they took shelter in a Hospitaller Chapter House. After learning of this, henry had it burned to the grown with all the hospitallers inside for failure to report the terroist.
We never terrified the people! Thats rubbish:P
After his death, Caradog was pronounced regent. Alerick, who married Henry's daughter, become the knew King. Owain Davis did not like this, and fought Alerick in the arena. He beat him, and become King in turn.
That too. Thats not what happened.
