Re: SPAIN MOD..Version 1.4 Released

This is the REGIMIENTO FIJO DE CEUTA, with a uniform circa 1797 -not the hat-. Well, i could make a model from 1775 but this model is the same model of the Regimiento Fijo de Orán... i prefer to make a different dress looking for a variety in the units

Re: SPAIN MOD..Version 1.4 Released

Carricanta que buena textura; pero para esta unidad podias haber cogido el modelo de los fusileros de flikitos o los que yo he posteado en el foro. El sombrero es mas parecido y el uniforme es igual, pero con otro color.

For this unit you can take another model, like Flikitos fusiliers with his new bicorns.

Yes, i´ll download the Filikitos model -or your model, my friend, and i´ll make a new unit. Thanks, maestro!:thumbsup2

Re: SPAIN MOD..Version 1.4 Released

I think only the officers would wear purple. That isn't an infantryman.

Are you sure? please send me more information about these uniforms, ´cause in my books, officers and soldiers were dressed with the same colours... militias weared the best uniforms because their use was limited -full dress- in campaign.
In the spanish armies, officers -like petty officers, captains, lieutenants; not generals, fieldmarshalls... of course- and soldiers were dressed with the same colors, if you take a look in my threads you can watch examples of it

A clue to whether someone is an officer or not at this time is the gold lace in the tricorne. I think in the 18th century really senior generals wore what they liked. So whether the men under him wore purple or not is possible but unknown unless you have more information on that question. He is an officer though because he has a duty gorget around his neck.

Update: In fact I notice that 3 of those 4 men are carrying canes - a clear sign of being officers. But officers tended to dress as their men did except with lots of gold trimming. The man without the cane is probably not an officer but then his tricorne seems to have gold lace so we don't know....

Your explanation is perfect, sir.

About the uniforms... from left to right

TROPAS DE LUISIANA 1792
1. TENIENTE (lieutenant). REGIMIENTO DE INFANTERIA FIJO DE LUISIANA
2. CAPITAN DE INFANTERIA (captain). LEGIÓN MIXTA DEL MISSISSIPI
3. SOLDADO (private). REGIMIENTO DE MILICIAS DISCIPLINADAS. COSTA DE LOS ALEMANES. The officers weared a duty gorget and the shoulder bandolier (belt) with the regimental color and the borders in gold; this private wears in white.
4 OFICIAL (officer). BATALLON DE INFANTERIA DE LOS VOLUNTARIOS DEL MISSISSIPI

Historically, the purple is the own color of Castilla -but really the original castillian flag is crimson... but this is another topic of conversation-

Both of you really deserve +Rep :thumbsup2

I have to finish the Danish cuirassier model (lod1 is done, lod3 need new UV map and lod4 need... to be done :laughter:).
Next unit will be French cavalry.
Then, I will try to create a Cuna tribe warrior.
I really like to add "natives" auxiliaries

Re: SPAIN MOD..Version 1.4 Released

Hey Pom!

It check in on this mod every day ad I love what you're doing with Spain! (And Carricanta and Wangrin as well +rep to the three of you)
Your mod really makes Spain more fun to play as (as all your mods do) and it works beautifully when play in concert with them.

This may be a little impudent of me to ask and I know you've expressed interest in doing a scotland mod but I was wondering if at some point you might want to do an Habsburg/Austrian mod at some point in the future? Like Spain they are one of the countries whith a very interesting military that was very poorly implemented in Vanilla ETW and I think you would do them great justice.

Regardless of whatever project you decide to do next I greatly look forward to whatever it is!

Re: SPAIN MOD..Version 1.4 Released

Maybe could you use the belt02 from episodic_musketman for your yamasee auxiliary model ?
The belt look like the one on the picture from Carricanta.
Thats where I saw the belt:doh:, I new it was out there somewhere, thanks wangrin will check it out:thumbsup2.
Also could you or carricanta tell me who the other guy is next to the Yamasee,(to the left) I want to do one more foot native unit, which would be him,(another Yamasee?) and one mounted, which I need some help with:)

Hi Rex, it's ok for you to ask, and good to hear from you:), I hope to make Scotland my next bit of work, I've already had a bit of a play, this is an experiment to see what I could do, the officer comes in 4 "flavours" (one model and skin),View attachment 141513ignore the beards:tongue:, but I have nothing against the idea of Austria, if wangrin and Joedreck are going to do France.:thumbsup2

Re: SPAIN MOD..Version 1.4 Released

Your scottish are impressive! :thumbsup2

No problem, i´ll wait for your mod... i have more units in my head :whistling

The other amerindian is a member of the Chocoe tribe... the guy of the left is a creek, allied with the british ;)

But the ancient belt in the yamasee is not standarized... see the same amerindian with a more contemporanean style

You know Pom, i´ll support your projects :salute:

Re: SPAIN MOD..Version 1.4 Released

Te ha faltado pintarles los tirantes de color rojo :P

Good work dude!!! perfect!!!

The question of LordKain is about the colour of the bandoliers. I think that only the officers can wear the bandoliers with the color of the unit - in this case, red-. If i find a different information i´ll change the color, of course (in the Italian Regiments, officers and privates weared the bandolier with the unit color...:hmm:

Re: SPAIN MOD..Version 1.4 Released

Someone knows where can I find a model like theses pictures?

I wanna make a unit with the jacket opened

You will need to use euro_officer model.
Probably need some modification too.
I've PM'd you carricanta, but wangrin is right, it will be one of the officer models.:thumbsup2

Thank you for your enthusiasm, Madrush, but it was just an experiment, it's not a completed unit, but I will do Scotland as soon as I've finished with Spain:thumbsup2
