Well, thank you to all who submitted entries this time around. It's hard to hide that this was the smallest competition we have ever had, in that the number of entries was far smaller than ever before. Quality over quantity though; we had some close polls for all here.

I apologize for the initial delay of the polling a little less than a month ago, when VP took a leave of absence for unknown reasons. Still no word from him on our end, and we hope all is well for him.

Apologies also for the many decisions I had to make that changed the landscape of this competition. After it was clear VP was out of the picture, I had to quickly take up the reigns and try to get the already delayed competition on its feet again. On top of that, this was a small competition still; I came to the decision that, in order to promote a bit of actual competition, to eventually combine the fiction/short fiction categories in the final round, on top of some other aesthetic decisions to many entries. For this, I apologize, I know everyone put much work into this, but things didn't go as planned on our end. I am offering, to all who entered, automatic entry into the Scriptorium for their submission, and I will be requesting some rep points be given to all who entered as well. Hardly a consolation, but I will do what I can and live with the decisions I had to make to get this competition done.

Now, comment, or do whatever you do, etc etc...

Congratulations to everyone! I knew I probably wouldn't take gold, for there were ones there that I knew were better than mine, but I am very thankful to all who voted for "Betrayal at Utsunomiya". And if I was to lose, I can't think of two works better to beat me, Congratulations all around! I will wear this Bronze metal with honor and pride.
