This mod, Warhammer: The Sundering, has a unique unit shared between Nagarythe and the Dark Elves named the "Druthii Sorceresses", the model of this unit is completely different from the unique custom model of Morathi, the Hag Queen, a hero who got a unique model in this mod.
So I always loved the models of the Princesses in this mod, and thought it was a shame that they weren't battle-models and have thought so for a long time. Unlike back in 2012/2013 when I wasn't a modder and back when I only played mods for this game, as opposed to modded them, I now looked at the textures for the Princess agent and when I looked at Anar I got the impression that maybe that's the same texture as the Morathi battle-model and decided to check that later, and I did - Yes- it was the exact same texture and model just with an added weapon and helmet that was more evil looking - so a different attachmentset but the same female model of a female Princess or Sorceress - It would seem that the team used this model for all the Elven factions except the Nagarythe faction as their princesses on the map, and Nagarythe got the same model as Morathi on the map, and as Morathi in battle - this gave me the idea to make a new unit for all the other elves using the Morathi battle-model for the hero and the skins of the others.
I had to convert the model and its textures using the Modeller's Toolbox, then I had to edit the textures in Gimp, by opening up the texture of the Morathi battle-model hero, then opening up the Princess textures one after the other, I copy/pasted the princess texture over the Morathi one, but this didn't do the trick - I then had to copy/paste the attachment-section which also required me to select it properly, and move it over to the right spot on the battle-texture - otherwise the new texture would lack the texture for the staff and the helmet causing it to be untextured, and I had to open up all 11 or so textures and do this process over and over again which took a bit of time, after which I checked the models in MS3D until they looked fine, and after this I needed to convert the textures into textures from .tga-files using the Modelelr's Toolbox, and then move them into the dark Elven or Nagarythe folder of the Sundering mod, then do the coding for the new unit - in the battle-models.modeldb-file I had to find the Morathi battle-model, then add entries for all of the other Elven factions - as they weren't named their Elven names I then had to open up the expanded.txt-file where I can search for let's say "England" and then see what the faction is named in the game, so in the descr_strat-file you can usually see the names of the factions - but they were all named England, France, HRE etc - so I had to check each one of them in the Expanded-file to find out who was who, then add the 11 new entries to the BMMDB-file which took a while, giving each of the Elven factions their own unique texture, with many of them needing the letters re-counted, and Anar shared the Morathi-texture, then I had to open up the export_unit-file and add the unit entry "Elven Sorceresses" - using the Druthii Sorceress as a base but removing the Dark Elven parts, then I added the cards of the Dark Elven unit, and added a copy of the Druthii Sorceresses in the export_descr_unit-file but now named Elven Sorceresses and for the other Elven factions - unlike the Druthii Sorceresses they are using the Morathi/Princess model which has a very different hairstyle and look, as compared to the nagarythe unit - for now the unit has the same projectile but it may make sense to change the projectile to something lighter.
In any case, my experiment worked and all the Elven factions have their Princesses in battle as Elven Sorceresses now.
I might release a submod later but I would like to first finish some other projects, then add the missing strat-models as well - I could make new strat-models and there are a few using vanilla models still - and instead of using BotET models by porting them I could actually make ones using the Sundering models by converting battle-models.
So that's my current idea to make the rest of the strat-models, but as of right now I have finished the Elven Sorceresses.
