No "flaming" cities?

No "flaming" cities?

I've seem toppling towers many a times already. Burning holes are just as common, given that your shot misses its target.

I never really actually attack the city anyway. I just starve them until they sally out or the city is mine.

I'd prefer assaulting. Sieging takes too long. 16 years to starve a huge city????

I can wait. Doesn't take long for them to sally out or for their reinforcements to arrive so I can crush them in a field battle.

Or I wait for my own reinforcements and put them on AI so I don't have to do all the work. The AI helping me out is pretty smart too.

UAI gives the best AI anywhere, I can't play mtw2 without it.

For some reason Lusted thinks it's too peaceful so he hasn't added it to LTC. (At least I don't think he has)

He is resigning as moderator and getting a job. Guess we won't be seeing him around for some time then. Wonder what will happen to his hundred years and reconquista mod.

As a matter of fact, you CAN target buildings, but only the ones you or the AI can construct (i.e. Churches, Stables and the like, not generic buildings). It just takes a little effort mousing over the target until the cursor finds the "hot-spot". Never tried actually attacking though to see if it gets demolished.

Really? You can? Wow I never knew that, I'll have to try that out sometime. Thanks for the tip Dr.

I wanna damage generic buildings. Not the "important" ones.

It was a chance finding on my behalf, really. I just noticed one day that I got the "attack" cursor while hovering over a building. I then actively seeked out which buildings I could target and came to this conclusion. But yeah, generic buildings are made of mithril, save a few spots here and there (it's a precious metal, you know!).

I really miss setting up whole cities on fire back in rtw.

I was pleasantly suprised in my Spanish campaign whilst sieging Cordoba with four Trebuchets, I was able to attack their large Mosque and a few other of their style of buildings. Their large Mosque took two direct hits to the dome and the thing crumbled, pretty cool. I figured I would take the whole thing down, but in the end I think it is impossible to do so with any building, which is a shame.

Overall most every building was in flames, and some of the smaller wooden structures were almost completely destroyed giving off huge black smoke trails. I should have taken a screen shot, it was destruction to the extreme and their reinforcements must have seen the destruction from far out, wondering what in the world could have caused that. :)

Im using the DLV mod, and in vanilla I don't think you can attack religious structures, but this mod must allow you do so, which is huge.

You can attack religious buildings in vanilla all along.

That's pretty cool.

politically correct.

"Political correctness (often abbreviated to PC) is a term used to describe language or behavior that is intended, or said to be intended, to provide a minimum of offense, particularly to racial, cultural, or other identity groups. A text that conforms to the ideals of political correctness is said to be politically correct."

In the first Medieval you could demolish religious structures.
