I want also to touch on the '6 hour exclusive mission'. This I believe is a communication error lost in translation. When we talk about 6 hours of content we are talking about what's included exclusively "On Disc" (Kasumi, Shadow Broker, Overlord), The Interactive Back Story and the Cerberus Network Acces

They'll get tho some interactive comic to understand what happened in ME1 and be able to make some decisions on that.

Finished Mass Effect the other day. Played on highest settings and the game looked quite good in my eyes. Performance was also great this time around unlike on old PC (where it stuttered at cutscenes and similar).

I always wondered how one can reach 60th level in ME1, I only managed to get to 54th. OK, I skipped all the 'gather minerals/medallions' missions, but they would not give 6 levels I'm sure

When I saved Wrex on Virmire I think I already had full Paragorn since I had done basically all UNC by then.
So all the other "good" actions after that wouldn't add to the bar really.

As for your second q, I did everything and got 53.
In order to be 60 you must replay the game with existing profile.
So I would start at 53 I guess and then move from there.

Some real answer

For the first playthrough, it's 50 (actually, until you get the achievement for completing a playthrough)

After getting the achievement, the cap moves up to 60.

However, the experience requirements are insane. Just to go from level 59 to 60 takes 200,000 experience points, so it's going to take a while.

Completing the game on any difficulty and at any level will unlock the 51-60 levels for your next playthrough.

60 is then the max level cap forever more. You cannot go beyond 60 ever.

It was great, just aiming in a direction and everyone was already dead.

One of the things too is that you get less experience (I believe it's cut in half) when you get kills in the Mako, so on the Mako missions just get out and kill the enemies on foot.

You must flirt with Kelly (I might do more than catch you, Kelly)
You must talk to Kelly after every mission

So I'm having lots of fun with the DLCs right now. Fortunately I had just carried over my femshep biotic from ME1 and had only done a bit of the ME2 before I got all the DLCs. So far I've just landed at Normandy crash site which was okay, nothing spectacular. But I like the new sniper rifle, assault rifle, and the SMG that you get in Kasumi's mission. Also Zaeed is savage. I was just about to fight the final boss dude on Stolen Memory but I had to go to work. I think Kasumi is a pretty bad ass character, her sneaky invisible trick works like a charm even on insanity. I'll have to play through for a 4th time with my true Shepard haha, my soldier Shepard just so I can do it all with the DLCs. Looking forward to getting to Lair of Shadow Broker.

yep, LotSB is spectacular, sometimes feels like a movie with many well-placed cutscenes. Doubly spectacular if you romanced Liara in ME1

Kaiden ashley are both the worst carachters ever. They like give us a dozens reasons to hate em.

But i guess maybe that adds to the better of the game... hmm

Yeah any Kaidan or Ashley DLC would have to involve the alliance IMO. Only problem is that the DLC will pretty much have Ashley or Kaidan in the same role considering only one of them is alive.

Yeah I do like him a lot actually. I never played with him before cause I couldn't get any of the DLCs in Turkmenistan cause the internet was pretty much like dial up there. But in England it's good enough for me to get all the stuff. I think Kasumi is great too. Haven't seen anyone comment on her usefulness, but to be honest I think she's excellent.

I think Kasumi's an excellent party member if you can be bothered with ordering her to do the Shadow Strike all the time. For someone like me there's little reason to take her over my trusty Garrus + Zaeed combo which provides high weapon damage from their snipers, armor counters with Zaeed's grenades and Garrus' armor piercing ammo and shield counters with Garrus' overload and Zaeed's disruptor ammo.

EDIT: wow did I seriously write excellent as accelent? Dear god, rofl.

Yes well I try and mix up my party members to get more use out of them. I've played with Garrus the entirety almost every playthrough, usually with Thane or Legion or Grunt, but on this playthrough I'm trying to alternate and haven't used him at all. And insanity with an adept is tough. don't take damage and can't dish out enough to get through some parts that seemed easier with soldier or infiltrator. Although I didn't have much trouble with Horizon, I think just the tactics I got work well enough for that.

Grunt did feel like a cheap replacement for Wrex sadly enough.

Garrus really stepped forward in this second game though, while he was less noticeable and vocal in the first game.
