Never i am yet to gain any reply to my questions.

Can you please inform me of the following yes or no its not hard you know......

Will you reduce the horrid 5 shot repeat that the officer does it ruins the MOD 2 shots would be fine 5 is just horrid truthfully.

Also can you please state if your going to release the full MOD anytime soon i see its progress just having BETA when the game looks fully done in terms of TECH is rather disturbing.

Anyhow if you answered my posts before i would not have to make this stupid post ffs.

Great mod fellas as always maybe you can make the front page stand out more.

The Update 6 is done ; after this :
There will be 3 more units in the Zulu add on ( the last one) : 1 Zulu Sniper ; 1 Natal Carabinier ; 1 Chemsford unit ( general) . I will also correct the reported minor bugs :

- 2 shots with the pistol instead of 5 ; Egy officer gun crew replaced in the Zulu add on ; in the Khartum campaign prevent mahdist artillery from being spread .
What else ?

The Zulu add on will stop and I will than go back to the Pirate mod . "

When the Zulu snipers , Lord Chelmsford General unit and Natal Carbineer’s are released we will have all the main units as the mod is based around Chelmsford’s centre Colum and the Invasion of Zulu land in January 1879 including the battles of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift.
If anyone has been living on another planet and hasn’t seen them before watch the movies “Zulu Dawn” 1979 and “Zulu” 1964 in that order. Or if you really want to get into it one of “Ian Knights” books on the Anglo/Zulu war.

First of all thanks and congratulations to all concerned for this excellant mod.

I'm sure like many others I can't wait to play the new maps and units.

As I am no modder, until the new units arrive, I have been trying to use existing units to stand in for Native Contingent, Native Horse, Natal Caribineers etc.

If you don't zoom in too close, visually you can get a fair approximation, for example using British light Dragoons for Natal Caribineers. And using the file manager I have altered the carbine stats and, in the 'unit stats land table', altered the stats for some units (such as the Light Dragoons mentioned above) so that the 'stand in' units perform as they should re: range, moral, loading speed etc.

But (I bet none of you saw a 'but' coming did you :)) I really want to alter the stats of some of the units in the Khartum / Pirates mod. For example, I am using the Tioman Pirates to stand in for Zulu with firearms. However, they are way too deadly. Problem is when I try to use the file manager to open the unit stats land tables I get an 'unhandled exception ... Index was outside the bounds of the array' error.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of a (idiots) guide to overcoming this error? I have searched the forum but the only thread I found made very little sense to me.

your Zulu mod is incredible so congratulations fm Buenos Aires,Argentina
in the other hand consider to make the Lawrence the Arabia Mod (Arab units-already in game
so have to add british Cavalry and Turkish units) and will have a Good WWI mod
or make Boer War Mod

There is no need for you to make improvised Zulu Snipers or Natal Carbineer’s if you read post 1228 just a few back you will see that Kungfuserge is going to make those units and you will have them shortly. NNC (Sikhali horse) are the latest Beta 6 released today.

Perfection the 2 shots are great it now flows with the MOD better thank you.

This is amazing what else can i really say ?

Honestly you should make the next version NON BETA this is starting to fill up more and more hours of enjoyment maybe other do not agree but this MOD has almost topped my sole favorite.

Honestly i must say thank you ............... how you combine time and so much effort for this master piece ............... :).

I need help. I installed the mod, but when I go to battle, the game freezes at the loading screen. I can hear sounds and give commands, but I only see the loading screen.

Can someone please tell me how to add the Zulu campaign?
I added the Zulu campaign files to the data folder in the Campaign and Campaign maps folders but no Zulu Dawn campaign has appeared so any help would be really great.
But apart from that this is an amazing mod!

There is no zulu campaign, only custom battle. There is an oriental campaign for sudan war.:thumbsup2

That’s because the officers of the Natal Native horse (Sikhali ) are based on Two real people .The famous Coronel Antony Durnford played by Burt Lancaster in the movie Zulu Dawn and the other Sikhali Unit is led by the officer William Vereker played by Simon Ward in Zulu dawn.

When is the latest Gatling model going to be added? also is it possible to eliminate recoil from the machine guns as well as the muzzle loading animation?

IMHO, the machine guns should be far more effective and far more expensive, more like 1000/1500 rather than 120/250, although they are an improvement on the very first gatling, they are still fairly ineffective, and need to fire faster and have bigger magazines, especially the maxim. Finally, the machine gun sounds continue even after it has stopped firing. However, I am entirely confident that all these fairly minor problems will be ironed out, no problem is too great for the creators of this mod

PS. Could the sailors have the broad brimmed straw hats as in the picture above?

Here is an interesting picture of the battle of Gingindlovu, March 1879, it shows British Saliors of HMS Shah defending one wall of the British square. Also some Black Africans on the British side in similar gear to the zulus that are part of the Natal Native Contingent can be seen on the left.

Would love to see them as a unit. Another idea for a unit is the 91st Highlanders who also fought at Gingindlovu.

I find their tartan trews rather iconic and an excellent excuse to make a new unit!

Can we not just make the other Sikhali unit, without a unit cap. Alows more choice for users i guess, the vereker model is also the normal Sikhali officers uniform.

ZULUMAPSMOD BETA 1 is out!
you need to put in your data 3 things: the zulumap.pack, the allmap mod, the baron von beer modified deployment zones. Use mod manager for zulumap and allmap.

You have 9 maps available:
-El Arif (zululand (in siege maps))
-Tabuk Mesa (zulu plateau)
-Armenian Canyon (Rorke's)
-Syrian ridge (zulu lakes)
-grassy flatlands (Isandwlana)
-Icelandic pinnacles (zulu rocks)
-Mountain (boer farms)
-Sunken crater (zulu crater)
-spanish lakeside (zulu narrow pass)

My advice: try first sunken crater and spanish lakeside! Play in "afternoon" (more beautiful).

Great job on the maps Panzerschreck :thumbsup2They really do look like Zulu land. I recommend turning the radar off on them because when you do that the Zulus can at times catch you by surprise on some of the maps.
I recommend everyone try out the Isandlwana map it is a little confusing because it’s not the map marked Isandlwana in the menu. To play Isandlwana select “Grassy flatlands” although that map is a work in progress you really do get the feeling of that battle.
Any update about what Kungfuserge is currently working on?
