Do You Own A PSP?

Picked up a white value pack sunday, screen quality is amazing.

The PSP, one of lifes pointless things. The only time that you would play it is in the car or bus, all the games are cheaper and better on PS2 and PC, and it costs a fortune.

I dont see the point in getting a handheld. I dont travel that much, so investing $300 in that is pointless. And i wouldnt play it at home since i prefer games on my comp anyways.

That has happened to quite a few people because they have gotten bored of their current games but its a bit too expensive to get a new game every week. So far i only have Fifa World Cup Germany 06 and Daxter (which i have not opened, im debating whether to play or sell) but a couple of good games are coming out this year which should keep me interested (Final Fantasy Crisis Core and GTA Vice City Stories (VCS), still need to get LCS as well, Tekken DR, MGS PO, Syphon Filter).

When Sony brings out their PS1 emulator things should pick up. Playing Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid on the PSP would be great.

Its a portable DVD player too as well as being able to have music (though most people would just use a MP3 player for music. You cant casually stick a PSP in your pocket and go places.

Thats whats so great about a computer. You always have older games that you can get cheap, because they are always compatible with newer systems.

Their isn't many good games on it and a decent sized memory stick costs like $5000. Right now i'd rather get the 60gb video ipod which is around the same price and does the same thing besides the games. The games on the PSP seem too few and not worth it.

Heh all these positive replies are making me feel good about the £180 i just spent on it :wink:

Its strange how before i was very hyped to get a PSP, now i have it im still pleased (every time you turn it on and that little thing just shines beauty into your eyes it just makes you feel good) but the hypes not there anymore. Like if it was to be taken from me I wouldnt be as bothered as i thought i would be.

Sure sony is a highly overrated electronics company with insanely overpriced equipment that is of average or below average quality with $16,000 TVs that go out in 6 months and its name no longer means anything but consoles. Apple being the company that lies and says its better than PC with commercials says its compatable and doesn't crash when i see them crash daily at work and ipods that have to be rebought because they dont sell replacement batteries. Besides that why would they be considered that bad? They are ****** companies but worse than hitler?

If I had the money i wouldn't buy an ipod, probably an iriver they are better anyways. Itunes compatability is pointless as well since anyone with a brain can get things to work, if your stupid enough to actually pay to dl music.


I think its funny that the American Legion, where i work, that i near my house buys a new Sony TV and it stops working after 6 months and I have a Mitsubishi 60 inch projection from 1984 that still works perfect that I play all my xbox and ps2 games on.

Lol, usually only people are are complete comp newbs that buy pcs from ****** companies or suck at building them only say that. All my computers since Windows 2000 have been FAR more stable than anything apple has put out.

I'd like to see them compaire apple to the **** i buy on those commercials that they have been having.

Trust me, i work with apple. The only reason they are "good" is because its propriatary and you can't have so many combinations of hardware and systems so they know what its going to be running so its more "stable". Also the fact that they are the ONLY company to make apple computers while many of various quality make PCs.

Yes and i love it, i have Socom, and Dynasty Warriors, and it has very good graphics considering how small the PSP is. Almost everyone i know at school has one or played one before, and most of them said that it is better than the DS, and N-Gage.

Even for traveling though, a DS is better. Its about half the price, and maybe you cant play music on it, but you would have to pay an extra $100 for the memory stick, and with the DS im pretty sure that McDonalds or some restaurant has wireless internet service for it all across the country.

Don't listen to all these evil people, i have a psp and i love it. I watch many.. er... legal things on it and play music through the speakers sometimes. Oh and i have dynasty warriors and wipeout. Both great games. You can always downgrade the firmware to 1.5 for potential extra 'goodies'

I have a psp, and I think its great I use it to browse the internet sometimes when some one else is on the computer. And I also have socom for it and mx vs atv, and need for speed underground, I no the games are kinda pricey.
