Buildings on Campaign Map

Buildings on Campaign Map

Question; in the E3 video it was clear that any building constructed in a city helped "expand" the city on the map itself; although this now begs the question - does it mean that any object built on the campaign map will be visible or incorporated into the battlemap (i.e. besieging Antioch 2 times in a row, with it having a Temple of Asklepios or something on the 2nd try)?

What do you reckon?

Even though that’s an interesting question it is more then just the tactical map, it also means the distance you have to travel across the campaign map to lay siege to a city becomes smaller. Mind from the vid the movement range of an army is so large that for most of the campaign map you could easily move from one regions settlement to another regions settlement in one turn, something I suspected would be the case months ago.

No idea, all I know is that the cities, watching them grow and seeing stuff building in real time within them is utterly delicious!

Are you sure? Perhaps cities on the campaign map only expand within a certain footprint and you will besiege the settlement from the edge of that footprint from day one.

A bit late with my reply but I think so, that is why cities now have little flags in the walls you click on them to start a siege, which begs another question what happens on the tactical map? Are you just on one side of a city, how do reinforcements work. I am beginning to think this campaign map and its relationship to the tactical maps is going to be a little weird to say the least.

One thing we can see is that the the range of movement for an army is quite large, the Roman army had no problem attacking Alexandria on the far western side if it so wished, this is going to be one strange game.
