Goddamnit, it should take only 6 votes to kick someone. We got an stupid troll in our team who kept pushing our jets from the runaway with a tank and couldn't kick him because we needed 12 ****ing votes and 99% people on BF3 simply can't type.


Although I admit that was a pretty clever trolling idea.

Well, i'm not a tanker so I maybe a wrong person to comment but are you sure its not just you? I mean there can be a lots of things going on in battle. Were there infantry shooting RPGs at you? Did the enemy have TOW missile (or what they are called, I hear those things can be pretty powerful), did he have faster reload perk or reactive armor? Was he shooting at the side of your tank? Did he have engineers repairing his tank? etc. Angles matter too. You do more damage to a tank if you hit in 90 degree angle than in 45 degree angle. Positioning is also very important for a tank.

Tanks are not useless. I have seen good tankers just destroy our team because they know what they are doing and i have seen bad tankers just getting their tank blown up instantly because they just drive it in the middle of enemy team and get C4 and RPG spammed.

Reactive armor makes a difference especially in tank-to-tank battles. I suggest playing as much tank as possible so you can finally get the perk and use it.

Lol trust me guys I'm a tanker, got all my fighting vehices maxed out to what I want them. In fact when I was complaining about that I was in an IFV raping everything (armor piercing rounds for the win) But in a front on front engagment, mono-e-mono the tank just gets beat if the other person knows what they're doing. If you're in an IFV, use AP and regular, switch between the two once one is out of ammo, aim for the turret and BOOM! Tank Kill. The Ampib has the armour of a god frontally which I'm fine with, but the fact that it's gernade launcher does so much damage to tanks is just insane. In tank on tank battles it's simply who fires first lol.

MBT's are the weakest armored piece in the game...then again, they are meant to be supported by repairmen, which is what makes them overall more effective than the other armored pieces. Then again, if an IFV gets the drop on you and you don't see it, you're ****ed.

You can run IFVs with repair men as well though. They just don't need them as much because they can blast out of sticky situations much quicker.

The problem seems to be that BF3 does not simulate armour. An IFV's AP shells would often ricochet and the HE shells would explode harmlessly on armour (maybe blow some reactive?). Grenade launchers would be just as ineffective unless you stuck one down the exhaust pipe ala Death star.

Tank Destroyers are absolute beasts, take the Sprut and destroy everything around you. Use the speed and agility, hide well and you won't be matched.

I love Epicenter from Aftermath, it's an incredible urban-warfare map. And the earthquake effects are really good.

Out of curiosity, what maps from BF4 would you like to return to BF3? I'd want a couple of them to return, like Epicenter and Seine Crossing.

A bit of nostalgia, perhaps, but I was watching some BF3 videos the other day and I have to say it's still a wonderful game.

Back in 2010 when it was announced it created a lot of hype because of the impressive visuals and the scope, and judging by the hours played (at least in my case), it's actually a great FPS.

Grab it if you can, Origin has it for a really good price.

And 3 years later from the last post, and about 12 years onwards from the original post, Battlefield Bad Company 2 servers will shut down at the end of this year. Which also means that there's a high possibility that BF3 servers will shut down next year, sort of, so if you do want to go play BF3, now's the time.

There's still around 600 - 900 players online, on Battlelog, so you can try that out.
