But I'd hope that US' goal is to make their citizens more prosperous without invading other countries. It sometimes seems as if some Americans, propably Neo-Conservatives, want to just assert some kind of dominance around the world, without regard for actual US citizens, so that they themselves can feel powerfull. I guess it's the same phenomenon in any country, where there's people who see it's "Golden Days" being in the past that must be regained.

America was the first freely independent state in the western hemisphere. True, we do have those folks who are nosy as hell, problem is they are the politicians. They can't screw too much with us citizens so I guess they figure they will screw with other nations.

The majority of Americans couldn't find most foreign countries capitals on a globe and don't give a damn either way, be they conservative, liberal, moderate or blue with green spots!

Unenployment rate above 50%, so that anyone without a PhD can go somewhere else.

Increase military budget, decrease infrastructure spending.

Make the American media what contols the minds and souls of all Americans ( of wait thats already happened ).

Make all Americans fat and lazy (it's easier to push around a guy who's lazy )

If I become president then a goal for me would be to make Poland a state and i'm white, so that automatically make's me American somehow.

Do we seek to revert to the ideals of our forefathers and restore the American exceptional-ism which defined us?
Do we follow the path of the Europeans into socialism and accept the inevitable decline along the road to serfdom ?
Do we seek to abandon everything we have stood for and become a Pragmatic Machiavellian Imperial Power?

Right now we're trying to do all three. Are we Classical Liberals? Progressives? Conservatives?
