So I had this running all day yesterday for its season finale. I like Scott Wolter (the forensic geologist investigator) I like the fact the show is on America's historic past, the pace of the show and how theories are critiqued and evidence is cross examined (even when they are only riding on a hunch in many cases). There's no craziness to drive outlandish theories with conclusions that are a "categorical Yes" (as with Ancient Aliens series). The guy seems to be truly interested in his work and the truth regardless of the questionable nature of some of the subjects/sites visited.
All in all I would recommend this series, but not having the dept of knowledge about America's past I cannot say how genuine this show really is. I honestly wanted to post this in the VV/AH forum but as I don't plan on giving a run down of all the theories/hypothesis put forward I'll settle for anyone's opinion on the show itself as a quality documentary series or not.
