No, not from the guy at the boat, I mean the leader of the Templars there - Greagoir. I don't have the dialogue option necessary to enter the Tower and fight the abominations/meet Wynne.

I knew that, but I was joking.

I try doing everything else you can do in the part you are stuck in. (Did you miss an important chest. Did you not talk to someone.)

Dragon Age rocks! i think it is one of the greatest game bioware ever made!

Hey guys, im planning to start a new human character who is gonna be very badass, apart from the 2hander, what class and build will make a completely badass human?

Archers aren't very good until later levels when you get arrow of slaying and scattershot. Weapon & shield have good survivability but the lower dps compared to other types can get dull.
If you don't mind constantly running around enemies in battle, backstabbing rogues do a ton of damage.
For good balance though, the dual-wielding warrior is a good choice; with 2 full-sized weapons your abilities do great damage and you can wear massive armor for decent protection. For that route, it's suggested to put 36 into DEX and the rest into STR, with any spare points going into either CON or WILL, if you find yourself lacking on health or stamina. The STR-based dual-wielder does rely on activated abilities a lot, so extra stamina is always handy.

One of the ways to get across the lake during the lockdown is to bribe the templar guarding the boat with cookies than Sten stole from a kid.

Personally I like letting the guy think he can sleep with Leliana and then she sings him a song and he's just as happy. That's just bizarre.

I have a question:

Can you import to Awakening if you performed "The Ultimate Sacrifice"?

Wow, I wish I'd read the last 4 posts on this thread... silly me.

Made a new character to be the perfect import for DA2, and thought it out really hard. Mage, blablabla, dies at the end just so Alistair can order a new Tower created bearing my name, not controlled by the templars either. Cool eh? So I start Awakenings and here she is, my dead mage on a muddy road alongside a red-shirt.

But if you played Witch Hunt and your char go through the eluvian with Morrigan, then you cannot import him to Golems of Amgarrak and perhaps Awakening too.

I didn't go that far. I wanted to keep things nice and simple by getting Awakenings only. Guess I was wrong. Too much of a headache for such mediocre DLCs.

Does anybody else experience frequent crashes during battles in this game? I'm wondering if it's cuz of me messing around with my ram settings or just the game itself.

I experience very infrequent crashes, except in that DLC where you fight as the darkspawn. That sucker crashed every few minutes.

uhm, but recruiting Loghain means Alistair leaves your party no matter what you do to him.

If Alistair is "Hardened" he'll still marry Anora and become King even if you spare Loghain. If he isn't hardened, Anora will push to have Alistair executed, which you can then allow, or push to have him simply exiled instead. To "Harden" him, do his personal quest in Denerim where you visit his half-sister. After it's over, give him the harsh response, it's something like "You can't rely on anyone but yourself" or something, you'll know which one it is. After that I think he'll approach you in camp, and you should again give the harsh answer. If you've already done that quest and not given those responses, you cannot harden him, and it's then impossible for your desired ending to happen.
