They had like 4-6 battered regiments of Zindari (don't remember the name exactly!) Pikemen and a camel rider unit for general. A single cannister shot killed their general and they ALL started routing simultainously, I was like

Yeah i know,had to pass on many screens
The victory;the British just stood their ground i guess,and a portion of the French directly charging into my lines didnt help them either(BAI issues anyone?)

aa x 2 afx8, Some Shader Routines set to use MipMapLodBias = -0.5; for sharper Texture rendering.

Looks good on my machine, touch wood (touching the nogging) it should look good(ish) on yours too

Allies Meeting

An illustration of my Döner Kebab strategy while playing Prussia or Ottoman Empire: ally, exchange tech & don't hesitate to send troops to the rescue - even if It's not about gaining another territory.

This long term strategy allows you to crush the most powerful central european Empires, Austria & Poland, and repell the Russian Menace at East. From my most advanced Prussian Campaign:

Finally after a 30 Years War vs. Austria & Poland the enemy is crushed. Our Turkish Allies had some trouble with a Revolution but we remained good friends.

As the Turkish Republic had trouble in the Balkans after the Revolution, our newly formed German Reich(yes, we took Alsace & France ) sent an expeditionary force, the Balkan Korps, to help them.

Together we crushed the Bulgarian Rebels (PICTURE) and contained the Russian Bear who invaded Moldavia, menacing Istambul.

In exchange, the Turkish Republic acts as a shieldwall against russian expansion and cleans the Mediterranean Sea from Spanish Privateers, Spain being our new arch-enemy now...

NOTE: that meeting pic reminded me of that one. For fun.

Well, actually two because here comes the next chapter of Illustrating the "Döner Kebab" strategy.

Beyliks to the Rescue!

You Don't Mess With the Beyliks

Playing the mighty Osmanly Imparatorlùgu, I also managed a strong long-term alliance with Prussia. Together we "swandwiched" Austria, destroyed Poland & pushed back Russia (with the Swedes help too) and now those insignificant West German States dare to annoy us!

Westphalia has become quite hegemonic and after annexing Würtenberg they invaded Prussian-occupied Bavaria. These insects must be stopped or our rich Italian lands could be in danger. The Kaiser has required our help and an army was quickly sent to defend Munich, still held by a few brave Prussian Linen Infantrie battalions.

When they saw us coming, the Prussian defenders got even bolder (crazy?) and they attacked a vastly superior Westphalian Army (AI turn). The Sultan's Honor commanded to go to the rescue of such brave allies!

The days is almost gone when the Ottoman Western Army invades the battlefield from the South, flanking a totally surprised Westphalian Defense Line. The Artillery bunkers were the first to fall, then the Ottoman war machine couldn't be stopped.

Beylik Janissaries fire & support the Prussian Linen Infantrie now charging with bayonets. NOTE: the Prussians were outnumbered to more than 1 to 4 before we came to the rescue. At Right you can see the Nizam-I-Cedid "modern" infantry running to outflank the Westphalians. NOTE: screens taken at the end of the battle. Sorry!

The entrenched Westphalian Army is now completely surrounded and starts to panic. The Deli Cavalry is firing at will and kills the enemy general with a nice shot. Now It's time for the final charge! Ilerisu!!!

Fighting together as Brothers In Arms, Prussians & Janissaries wipe out all that remains of the Westphalian invaders. Only a few will seen the Rhine again.

After that...

PARTY TIME! Hit the Dance Floor baby!

TECH NOTE: I "just" have Medium graphic settings because now I play on a laptop. Even with a Nvidia 9600 inside, you know how ETW is "hungry".
I did my best.

I don't understand how when I have Ultra on everything, people still have better lighting and shadow effects than me. Also, how do I make the UI invisible? Screenshots look crappy with that in the way!

You can't play SWEDEN (or Is It USA?) and expect to have a good weather! Well, even in warm & sunny India It rains a lot sometimes. try Spain or Ottomans... well the weather can be terrible too in the Carribeans or in the Balkans, on winter.

Now, for your Screenshots (the topic BTW): what's your screen & G card? Do you use Fraps or the "Print Screen" function?
PM if needed + some nice Ottoman SC this evening for TMB...

Here is a image from my latest campaign as Georgia and it is quite interesting as you may see the British (AI) have expanded alot and seem to be holding on to the regions. austria has become great a power in the east wiping out poland. me and dagestan have a great alliance with them moving north into russia (with great success i must add) and me moving south but im just waiting for them to backstab me and declare war
