Ok, i'm playing stainless steel 3.2, there is a mod called byz enhancement in the thread byzantine overhaul. Anyway, they created some new units, i tried putting them in , but apparently, it does not work. According to the owner of byz enhancement, he said that the battle_model won't fit either, T_T. descr_building and descr_unit probably also need manual fixing which i have no idea how:(... can anyone help me?

you really can't combine two mods unless the mods don't use the same files...or if you took files from one and placed them in the other that didn't have them.

To manually combine two files, is very complex, I can't really explain it - it's just too complex...it's just something you need to know how to do not be explained it.

For that I advice one program: WinMerge

Not cause it is the best program for that, but cause it is a freeware (GNU license) that can do the work ;)

you can "merge" it with the program I quoted before

you just have to be cautious with the change you do

so don't forget to save the files before proceeding the changes ;)

is there a tutorial on how to actually use that program?

i'm still trying to figure out how to merge Orders with Big Map Extended.

Give me the link of Big Map extended.

And there's surely an help for the program, but I must admit that I never needed it. The program is intuitive.
You open 2 files that have several parts in common, the program will put in yellow the differences.
Then you click on the yellow parts and the program let you merging the changes.
Off course, this is the basis.. and there's sometimes things that need more attention.

ralendil, do you know how to modify bin files? those txt.string ones?
