I can't say I really see why people are calling him a snob...it's just that when he lists his achievements, they're so much greater than most others' at that age or at almost any point in their life time.

He mentioned in passing that it creates some form of biproduct that he does something with. There must be some form of justification for it as it likely requires an obscene amount of energy.

I wasnt very happy with the brief nature of the talk either, or the fact that he mostly just lists his achievements. But if you know TED (the conference he was speaking at) they're very strict on time requirements. So they likely just figured he was a kid and couldnt sustain the typical, full 10-20 minute presentation to a crowd of several hundred; especially considering he was sharing stage time with people like T. Boone Pickens & Bill Gates. Gave him 5 minutes and just asked him to try to give the audience and idea of his achievements.

All kind of falls together with that in mind. I'm certain though he'll make another apearence. Who knows, maybe TED 2025 will mark the introduction of his multi-trillion dollar idea that revolutionizes global energy.
