Reinstalling often doesn't help with mods, since those files aren't deleted by the Uninstaller (afaik).
Try to verify your steam cache, controll if you installed it to the right folder, make shure that you got the latest patch.

Great, thanks for you're time. I'm installed to 1.6 but perhaps there is another out there I've not upgraded to. I'll look into it. Thanks again for you're constant support and help.

Also, I buy all my total war games digitally. Could that have something to do with it? (I'd be furious if it did). And anyone who knows if I can delete the Gamersgate.com temporary folder after the game and mod are installed please let me know. It takes up so much hard drive space.

For instance; M2TW installed with Gamersgate, it asked me if I wanted to delete the temp files, I chose yes. Then Stainless Steel wouldn't install. So I uninstall, download again and re-install without deleting the temp files. This time, it works fine. So I'd guess it had something to do with it and I'm scared to delete those temp files but maybe now that the mod is installed I should be good to go to get rid of them and save me some valuable HDD space.

The reason I ask that last bit here and not at Gamersgate is because it seems they don't have a big forum section on mods for their games. They don't have much of anything to be honest.

If i start Empire total war after installing "ACW", will there be any changes to Empire total war or will it be vanilla version?

Empire stays vanilla, you either start the vanilal game with your ETW shortcut or ACW with our shortcut.

its a good mod but one mod i'm trying to find is all 3 ranks fire at once mod like they do in blue and grey 2.6 can some one help with this

HELP!!!! after I extract into data from Program files(x86)-steam-commen-empire total war-data there is no installer page. Im so confuesd im new to modding so dumb it down for me.

When you installed it right then you should have an shortcut on your desktop to start the launcher, if not you should be able to find it in your .../empire total war/data/ACW folder.

ive tried to do this several times now, ive tried the correct install path (maybe im wrong) gone to program files x86 so on and so forth, i clicked on data to send it to, it says data at the end its destination, ive checked my files and go in and click empire total war and then click on data and then ACW would be in there and again all i get is empire.exe is missing

i dont know what im doing wrong. im getting to the point where ive read the same instructions 5 or 6 times i know it is annoying to constantly deal with people like me but i keep getting this

i just want to try this tonight already. my ETW folder is completely vanilla now either way from other mods ive tried and mod managered in

On the first sight all seems correct. When you go back into the folder empire total war, can you see the file empire.exe in there?

Okay now it´s getting clearer. You haven´t installed the mod into the game directory.
Browse your system and take a look where is your original Empire installed.

alright it says that empire.exe is in program files\steam\steamapps\common\empiretotal war does that mean it has to be on C drive and NOT the steam?

Well, then you have win with 32 bit. The default install path is for 64bit. You can reinstall the mod and altering the install path so that it match for your system (Program files/steam/common/empire total war instead of Program files (x86)/steam/common/empire total war).
Before delete your desktop icon for ACW and also the old folder (Program files (x86)/steam/common/empire total war) with all included subfolders and files.

Hallo Leute,

vorab - der Mod ist wirklich geil und ich freue mich schon sehr auf die drei-nuller Version. Nun meine Frage: Gibt es irgendwie die Möglichkeit den Mod in Deutsch zu spielen, also mit Deutschen In-Game Texten? Bei vielen anderen Mods ( zb Darth Mod Untimate ) kann man die Deutsche Sprache ja auch aktivieren. Über Antworten wäre ich dankbar.

i'have got Windows Seven . the way game is . E/ program files/ steam/ steamapps/common/empire total war/data/data/ACW.

i'have downloading the 2.6 hdd FIX . repllace in data acw folder . not working , the same message.

you say that : You can clear your userscript, simple delete your user.empire_script, the game will generate it new by the next start of ETW. You find this files in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts" , this way is for windows XP ? i'don't found this way for seven ....................

please help me.

Hello mate, first of all thanks.
I have to answer you in english because this are the forum rules of the TW center.
This time i will also translate it into german but if you have problem with english you can also write me, primergy or hinkel a pm - half the team is german speaking.

There is no german language pack now in the current version but we will deliver one for volume 3.
(Nicht in der derzeitigen Version aber wir werden mit 3.x eine deutsche Sprachversion mitliefern.)

the flags are ment to be still...its a feature
as for your guys faces and hats...maybe your unit sizes are too high(just a guess)

Or maybe medium unit details ? if you want differents faces and hats i think you need to put high unit textures (or Ultra )

E/ program files/ steam/ steamapps/common/empire total war/data/data/ACW.

Do you see the Error?

It only one data/ folder is needed. Move the whole acw folder in the first data folder and it will work.

You can have both installed along each other.
