You are looking at their melee AP damage stats.
If you hover over missile damage on UI, it will then show a breakdown of how much damage is base and how much is AP.

I suggest that you update the title, without perusing the thread, people may not be aware of this latest tweak.
Long time DEI player and lurker here. First I want to thank Dresden, KAM and all of the mod team for creating and constantly updating this great mode!
Really wanted to played this beta, but somehow my launcher couldn't see the pack file. I put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data . Haven't had other pack mod for a while so can't really remember if something changed since last time lol.
Thanks for any help!
if you're having problems with steam manager use mitch's one, it will force steam to keep the order/activation
put everything in data folder and remove any other pack you won't use

There are a couple Thorax Swordsmen that have the old more defensive stat balance (higher melee def and lower attack) - the Sicilian and the Pontic ones. Is this an oversight? If the Sicilian ones are meant to be more like imitation legionaries, perhaps giving them the disciplined formation might be a good idea. As for the Pontic ones, maybe it was intended, since the Galatian Elites (Epilektoi tes Ankyras) have only slightly worse stats than the standard new offensive Thorax Swordsmen, so maybe it would be redundant. The Galatians are available without any reform though.
Also, the Elite Peltasts of Pontos and Pergamon have armor in the 35-38 range, whereas the Odrysian Elite Peltasts are at 25, as all Hellenic ones and the AOR Maedi. Shouldn't they get higher armor as well, given how they are also tier 1 pop unit?

Update Feb 2
Disbanding & Population System Bugs
- Fixed disbanding bug that would cause population levels to massively decrease on the next turn, especially when disbanding whole armies/generals.
- You can now disband a whole army or multiple units at once and get back the proper population amount.
- Population levels should also report correctly the same turn you disband, although you have to click away to a different region and back to see the updated results.
Other Fixes
- Fixed a lot of issues with Irish unit skins and missing or buggy textures.
- Fixed bugged lamellar armor on many media/nomad units.
- Fixed celtic turncoat ancillary not properly working for british and germanic factions.
- Fixed bugged helmet/hair textures on Iberian Vasci unit and Suebi heavy cavalry.
- Fixed Thracian thorax cav having 0 melee attack (woops!)
- Changed some AOR thureos units to 3rd class pop.
- Changed pop classes for some Syracuse units and removed some AOR units from their cultural group so they will be foreign (Italian, Corsican, Sardinian).
- Changed Mauryan armored elephants to pop class 2.
- Fixed various Iberian units having oathsworn/Gallic audio.
- Fixed 2 parthian cataphract units having bugged armor skirts.
Credits
- Thanks to Steve_Raptor and Q_Sertorius for helping report the disband pop issue.
Great update so far, as gatae Im ambushing the bastarnae? and it's crashing everytime. I'm only using the female barbarians, both latest packs and beta; my load order is mod @a_Female_Barb_Generals.pack;mod @@@@fixpack127.pack;
mod _divide_et_impera_release_12_Part2.pack;
mod _divide_et_impera_release_12_Part1.pack;
Is the Syracusan heavy peltast one of the units you changed the pop type of? That unit requiring noble population always seemed strange to me considering many Greek factions have better peltasts that don't require noble population.
The Dahae light horse from the Parthian roster has spear, shield and bow, but only 5 ammunition, instead of 15, as most other horse archers do. AFAIK, such low ammunition was only meant for Sparabara type units.

Hopefully, the 2/2 version fixes a new bug I saw. Got a hirable female general as Rome. Downloading now!
So far on everything else, plays great! I have noticed though that certain agents get backgrounds that seem completely irrelevant to their role, especially after DeI softlocked them into specific playstyles (which I don't think was a bad thing) eg. Spies have been getting economic backgrounds etc.

Hey are hirable women a bug or is that a feature from vanilla? I haven't seen it before but I've noticed instead of an eligible male General I've gotten a female Politician which...given the limited hirable General options is less good.
Also is there a way to extend the hirable option's list? 3 I find is small enough to get clogged by 1 party's candidates way too frequently which makes it hard to balance Senator standing if you're trying to hold a position.
Really liking the new updates though, battles feel really good. The 'pull through' has pretty much all but disappeared and the quirkiness of some combat scenarios seems to feel ironed out and feels quite even, fair/predictable....which is the sweet spot.
recruitable women have a low (hardcoded) dice so to appear
there is a variable for setting more recruitable guys but it probably needs some UI hexediting for properly working. It's a guess though, could just be hardcoded
Hey, great mod ! Any estimated date, when relase will go out of beta ?
