you forgot that these too are alive and well. Not on consoles or in arcades (where can you even find an arcade these days?), but these are pretty dang common on mobile devices. Not nearly as common as some match-3 nonsense, but definitely out there, alive and well.


Not a critique, but just a thought; maybe next time when the whole group is confused so long you could drop a more leading hint, rather than sticking to "Wrong", "More wrong", "Wrongest",

I've mentioned mobile gaming before. But those games are most of the time "bullet hell" type anyway, not the old-school shooters.

I'm trying to give you hints that wouldn't give you answer simply by googling them, as happened with my last submission here. Thus the obscurity.

I feel like we have different ideas about these forum games. IMO they should make you look up stuff and broaden your horizons, which is why I frown upon, and react badly, to the common "shotgun guessing".

Shumps are not only not dead, but they're having a wave of popularity dude. A bunch of old games, like 1943 Midway are even being ported to VR.

Stargunner is correct. It should have been an easy find once you had the hint about company-I don't think that any other company did the rename and sell the original name thing than Apogee/3D Realms.
