"I'm no supermaaaaan", by dunno who.
Okay. These threads have been closed multiple times. So, how about this time everyone has to discuss the song he/she posts about each time? And actually does so... ?
No?
I'm listening to "Station 5: The Pearl" by Gatsbys American Dream.
Lyrics:
you're like an anchor tied around my ankle
but i want to swim
but but but i've got to breathe
they're big ****ing stars i swear to god they are
for all the money that you spend
we will earn it
hold ourselves responsible
we're good for it
got a bad bad feeling that you wont
at least now you can't say i didn't ask
push it back push it back bring this back upfront
gaining momentum now
uh huh you're falling in love
would you like it wait your turn
oh wait or would you like it again
they're big ****ing stars i swear to god they are
for all the money that you spend
we will earn it
hold ourselves responsible
we're good for it
gotta bad bad feeling that you wont
at least now you can't say i didn't ask
can't say i didn't ask yourself
to do anything
was the trust ourselves
guess it's clear that's not whats going on
you're like an anchor tied around my ankle
you're like a ship that passes right on by
you're like the kid on a shore thats just like wrapped in a wave(?)
and we're just waiting to die
they're big ****ing stars i swear to god they are
for all the money that you spend
we will earn it
hold ourselves responsible
we're good for it
gotta bad bad feeling that you won't
at least now you can't say i didn't ask
It seems to be, in concurrence with the general theme of many songs on GAD's self-titled album, related to the music industry and how it burdens and restricts artists. It's a good song, though Gatsbys American Dream has quite a few superior ones.
Borat-Throw The Jew Down the Well
Chumbawamba - "Walking into Battle with the Lord"
Very unique anarcho-punk (British) band. The sound is definitely quite distinct from most other "anarcho-punk" of that era. I highly recommend checking them out.
If you're interested: I recommend "Give the Anarchist a Cigarette" as the best song on here.
I'm jammin to some Creed for the time being.
"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." -Socrates
"To see things in the seed, that is genius" -Lao Tzu
"What one sees is never the one truth." -Turtle Freeman
"Self-indulgant betrayal will raise cold walls difficult to scale." -Turtle Freeman
"Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart." -Kongzi
Ugg, gross. Creed? Are you kidding me. A bunch of pansies, if you ask me. Never liked their music, even though its been used in a bunch of movies I like. For some reason me dad listens to them far to often.
Only Shaz is listening to some good tunes, gotta love Lamb of God.
I am listening to King of Fairies: Horslips.
edit: Song just changed to Runes to my Memory by Amon Amarth

We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
"The politics of the Karl Rove era were designed to distract and divide the very people who would ordinarily be rebelling against the deterioration of their way of life. Working Americans have been repeatedly seduced at the polls by emotional issues such as the predictable mantra of “God, guns, gays, abortion, and the flag” while their way if life shifted ineluctably beneath their feet." - Senator Jim Webb

Finns to the rescue!
How absurd men are! They never use the liberties they have, they demand those they do not have. They have freedom of thought, they demand freedom of speech.
