May i suggest somthing? I think that the early scutum (the one your Marian legions uses) is very small.. I know it's vanilla but have you consider to enlarge it?
From what i know republican or early scutum was the largest throught roman history. Here the early scutum is the smallest..

That's about the sorta size they are in-game, they're the same as in Rome II. Personally I think as long as the shield doesn't obscure the troops' vision then it's just fine.

Edit: Ah, it is shorter after all. Looks much nicer though imo

We know xD I've been drooling over this work for ages! I want those guys for our late republican troops so bad. They are just so badass. Also we use the early scutum already, just those units are not in the test pack.
