    Hmm... I am wondering with the LAA (where the medieval.exe can use more than 2gig of ram), whether it would be possible to do HD retextures of so many other things in COW?

    Glad you like them.

    Hmmm.. I'm not sure what you mean boatie

    Normally M2 uses 2048x2048 (if I remember right) textures-sheets for buildings, I'm making these 1024x1024, half the size, so they are lighter to run than vanilla textures.

    If you mean that we would go for even bigger textures, I guess it's possible, but that would have huge impact in performance, and secondly they would be a lot more work to do. Personally I prefer working with the half-sized ones. As you can see they can still look good, with proper skins and with good normal mapping. But yeah, I guess it's possible, and it would be good option for people who have high end computers, but I doubt I will ever do such task.

    The work is going well currently, tought I'll share some pics here for you guys, of the works current state. Next time near future I will have Empire castles to show.

    Thanks guys, here's the castle preview I promised. It's not final, I will simplifie it a lot, and replace some details with others, but main theme stays this for now.

    Also reworked small stone walls, I replaced most wooden parts, and added more "grim" look to it. You can see the difference in "side blocks" that come out of wall, those bright parts are old textures. As are the reddish wooden parts. They have been worked too, just not in these pics.

    Thanks. Actually they are maybe next, but I might take a big brake on this project after Empire is done, focus on other things.

    The reason I have considered Chaos next, is that it is way simpler to do than for example Empire, which is ino the most challenging one, alongside Kislev, and I have pretty good consept for it in my mind. Chaos doesn't need as much variety, and it's more simpler, also they use Inca-building, which are very simple and way less in numbers than most other cultures. Also there would be an option to do elf buildings next, since I could just modifye and recycle a lot from theyr walls and castles I have done.

    But you never know, I won't promise anything, since I can't be sure if there even will be anything after Empire

    not to be repetitive here, but do you think to reskin settlements for every culture? (including chaos, kislev, sylvania)

    Well, yeah, but you never know, these take time, and things change.. I'll just finish Empire for now, and then look what to do next, I have other projects too that need attention, not just CoW.
