That's a risk you have to deal with otherwise there would be no fun at being Censor

Imagine my disappointment when I learned how little censorship is actually involved with this job.

A little overstep is the best of both worlds; you get your censorship, and the others get something to censor you for.
If you think about it, I'm actually helping everyone!

To get a better exposition, should this thread be sticked?

It should probably be both stickied and locked, imo.

Stickied at the minimum. Locked if discussion/member/individual staff contribution (ie, mak, or a proxy for mak since I don't think mak is actually in) isn't desired.
Good step, I think. A small, but fair one, even if it'll take more in my mind to get things more smooth and, well, have the Curia 'earn' that thread's placement.
Making it a sticky thread might help. However, I wonder if sticky threads sometimes become (effectively) invisible, because after a while people automatically look for the most recent posts on normal threads?
Locking it would be okay with me, if people have questions about joining Content Staff they're welcome to send a PM to the relevant Content Director or a Content Hex.
I've locked and stickied the thread.
Personally, I don't think being stickied will hurt it. The post being updated whenever new requests are made should be sufficient to continue drawing attention towards it. Plus, and this isn't so much of an issue these days, it will keep it from being buried beneath a bunch of other posts.

Very much this, it's better to have it stickied. Should there be anything garnering a need for more attention, I.e. a new job being posted it'll appear as both stickied and unread, so there's just more of a chance of people seeing it.

If the thread is posted in semi-actively, it will be bumped in the sticy list and be given attention. Something like the Townhall is frequently checked at the top of the sticky, and the thing is, the rest of the stickies usually aren't even updated anyways, making a change there in the Curia notable. The case can be made in some boards, but I don't think it applies here, especially on the flipside.
If posted in semi-actively, I think it would get the same-ish attention unpinned. The caveat? The list of unpinned threads rapidly drops in activity and reason to look at them. If it just sits there, now it's even harder to find, as the only reason to look down in this particular board is for the rare unpinned thread that's actually semi-active/interesting, such as the This and That and the other threads that had their 'five minutes' before. At least pinning it makes it more likely to stumble on and be considered relevant, even if it's people going through the routines, stopping and going 'wait, that's new'.
Thanks, Lifthrasir for the idea of making it a sticky thread, and thanks to Akar, King Athelstan and CommodusIV, you make good points.
It was a very fair question, imo.

I've prefered to answer here in order to not divert the thread.
I've perfectly read your post.
You're stating things and facts you don't and can't possibly know, based on your own perception and basically reflecting only your opinion and not necessary the reality.

Unfortunately not.
The last time he was "active" was back in March and April of 2019. Before that it jumps to 2017. 2017 was when the site went down suddenly. Once upon a time, he was always present. he was always offering his feedback and making suggestions. There is nothing now. This is what *I* know.
This site lives and die on his input and the membership. If this site is going to survive GED himself must pick up the flag and lead the charge. Until that happens, we just a debating society.
Well, as said, that's your opinion, not necessary the reality. Can we move on now?
