Making TW2 movies ....

Hi guys,

there was a tool available with Rome Total war to create movies like they do (like the intro movie).

Is it avalaible somewhere for Medieval 2 Total War?

The movie cam in Rome was the most popular thing for screenshots and movies. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they left it out of M2TW or CA just hasn't told us how to get it yet.

You can record M2TW battles - or anything M2TW by using Fraps: www.fraps.com - but the unregistered version only allows 30 seconds of recording each time you hit the F9 button - there is also a performance overhead made worse by htting the F9 button multiple times - on my (pretty powerful machine) the frame rate drops dramatically after about 4 or 5 hits during a replay or live game.

Fraps is is a childs toy compared to the RTW movie cam. You can make realistic movies without a mouse on the screen and without any interface. On the movie cam, the frame rate stays the same so, if you have a very powerful machine, you could make a seamless movie. example:
lol, allow me to quote myself; It's the third video, the other two are made with fraps.

Good stuff - I can't get fraps (or ZDSoft gamerecorder) to record sound from M2TW - I set it all up to input from Stereo Mix - mute the micro - but still enables the micro during recording... lol
