I tried to stop myself asking, but the depression of not being able to get M2TW and some other stuff made it impossible to resist; "When is it gonna be released?!?" If a definite answer isn't possible, a non-sarcastic estimate would be great. This mod just looks so amazing and I can't wait! Great job guys!

Hm, i think your right as i wont be able to play Heg properly with one arm.

but i´d swap my (not bought yet) copy of MTWII for Heg anytime

Wow... yeah see this is why CA should pay us for what we do.

I agree Hegemonia would be a great Christmas present. To be honest though my guess is little more educated than yours- as always it depends on how hard we work and how much goes right. We have a policy against giving out release dates - a rule which has been abused in the last week- so I'm especially hesitant now to say anything. I doubt I really could give you much of an estimate and even if I could... if I don't follow the rules I'm a bad example for everybody else.

I will say though that I appreciate you guys worrying about it very much- we've been trying to make previews much more often recently just to say 'hey, we're still here'. I think we should have another independent early in the week- Larissa was just released yesterday.

Maybe you should post a sticky that gives a general release date (eg: late december or something) and a list of what still needs to be done for the mod. Seems to be a lot of people asking the question and it might help reduce it.

There is no general release date as we simply do not know how long things are going to take until we have done them.

As for whats left to be done a fair amount still needs to be done but then we have done a alot as well, we tried having a progress report thread and it ended up been swamped with thousands upon thousands of this question so basically no it doesnt have any effect whatsoever people still ask even though they know they will not get an answer they still ask.

Basically we will be leaving this thread open for peoples prayers, wished release dates etc but any new threads on this will simply be closed.

everyone should just go play mtw2 for a while until they realize that even vanilla mtw2 isnt that good, and that there are no decent mods coming out for it for a long long time, so they might as well come back and play this mod when it comes out because it'll be prefected and not rushed to release. ive been turned off by so many mods that have been rushed to release and so plagued with bugs that i never want to play them any more. so kudos to the team here for doing things the right way.

Hi HTW team,

I'm an ethnic 1st generation greek, my mother and father are from Greece and my first language was greek, not english.

I personally thank you for doing this mod.
It means very much to me, as I'm greek, but also that if it were NOT for the Greeks many crucial things, such as the evolution of Europe with Greek undercurrents instead of Middle Eastern undercurrents would not have been possible.

In other words, if the Greeks didn't stop the Persians, Would Europe be what it is today? Think about the contributions of the Greeks to politics and science as well....... It's a lot folks.
Much is owed to them. Props to my peeps! Opa!

As with all things, timing is everything. The HTW team missed thier golden opportunity to get thier mod out before the release of MTW2. MTW2 is the best Total War release so far, incredibly stable. I have had no crashes, something that plagues all RTW mods I've played, graphics are fantastic, and the gameplay and AI is much improved.

Since Hegemonia is based on an outdated game platform, when its "FINALLY" released (if ever :hmmm: ) no one will care.

Yeah, this is right! M2TW is not so cool after all. RTW is much greater, not as graphics or other things, but as gameplay. I liked it much and I still do. And any mod about Greece or the Ancient East must be tried.
Moreover, Hegemonia looks like a great mod.

yup ive already scrapped my mtw2 and returned to rtw to play EB until either hegemonia or pennisila italica( way mispelled) is released first. something...no wait many things i dont like about mtw, which even if the bugs were fixed wouldnt help. not until we get a decent mod out for mtw2 will i get back into playing and thats a long way off.
