The Trojan Council

I have noticed that we seem to have generated quite a following of regular members despite being a lesser known mod in the TWC.

I would like to envite the 'regulars' to become honorary members of the team as the 'trojan council' with the job of discussing the features of Troy Total War, the pros and cons of the game, what you would like to see and what you would like to see rid of. Anybody can post of course and any productive comment can be made, but try to backup suggestions with practical means of implementation if you can. The views expressed here will be taken with more merit than random topics posted in the forums.

this is probably the easiest but switching the strat map settlements to the eastern or greek style in stead of the barbarian type settlements... i think i showed zenith how already... idk

Keep in mind the list of things (which can be found at our forums) that will already be included in the final version that were not in the beta.

Yes, the romano british will be the sea people, at the moment we have no intentions of including any other factions.

just throwing this out here, but say if a greek faction besieges troy, the could possibly build the trojan horse as a siege weapon, like a ram or tower type thing. idk if u can do that, but just throwing it out here.

wheres the achilles with the helmet and when you play TTW and your controling achilles from phthia can you choos if you want him to use a sword or does he altomaticaly change. Another question will you make paris?

I have a few suggestions:

Make Troy and all the other factions available to regular Dorytai at the beginning of the campaign.
Have Troy and all the other capital cities at the beginning of the campaign huge cities with all the military, cultural, financial, ect. upgrades.
Make the unit training and building time waaaaaaaaaaaaay less.
Have Laomedon at about 80 years of age, Priam about 50 years, and Hector and Paris about 20 years.

I believe that these will make this already great mod the best mod out there. If not then I'd better be working on my ideas!

i wish you could have a thing like for instance if someone wanted to attack your army you could press on something that says 1on1 or somethin like that and your general goes agains the opposing general if you wanted a quick battle.

Any chance of adding Aeneas also known as helikaon to the troy family? He was a great fighter to so should have a few good traits.

In Greek mythology, Aeneas [pronounce [1]] (Greek: Αἰνείας, Aineías) was a Trojan hero, the son of prince Anchises and the goddess Aphrodite (Venus in Roman sources). His father was also the cousin of King Priam of Troy. The journey of Aeneas from Troy, (led by Aphrodite his mother) which led to the founding of the city Rome, is recounted in Virgil's Aeneid. He is considered an important figure in Greek and Roman legend and history. Aeneas is a character in Homer's Iliad and Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida.

He went into battle with two bronze swords and, gold shining bronze armour also with a shining gold helm and greaves, i think he would be a great new addition to the trojan family.

I see this mod is slowly reciving it's popularity again. This is your chance to put it back in the motion. As a member of the council I will do my duty and help with your plans I may be more qualified as it looks on the first sight I am not a modder but I still know as a player what I want to play. Maybe some time ago I asked stupid questions but there are some things you people from civilized world will never understand (yes I still don't have ADSL,...) in the south of the tiny chicken-shaped land we choose mods to download very carefully they must be perfect for the exchange of enormous amounts of money and sacrificed months of downloading. Please dont make it hard to us for finding out about the quality of mods. Thank you.

It should be popular, i love this mod! I just cannot download 4.5.0 because everytime i do it does nothing? nd when i drag it and put it on the rome folder it just goes in that folder, I don't know what to do? :disgust:

Oh and i think the battle speeches need improving, maybe adding hectors speech into the game from the movie or achilles speech just before him and his men take the beach of troy.

look's like a good idea but the exact copy of speach may cause problems you know, the authorship but... anyway. I know how to make Troy immortal you will see wait until there will be more people to listen.
