Thanks, Dezikeizer. Somehow I think people are looking at the AAR's title, thinking it's some kind of retarded spellingGreat update, and a great job setting up the background for the English Civil War. I also like that you really do manage to put your words in a way that really sounds like how someone from the timeperiod would write. +rep
Then we're on the same situation, since I haven't played this mod that extensively yet.Nice update! I have to tell you that I had no experience about this mod, so extra thanks for bringing some unique work here! +rep
BOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just saw the post! Strong work!!! AND subscribed.![]()
No battles until August 1642, when the war was officially onAnother great update. I look forward to the battles to come as I haven't seen any in an aar with this mod before. Oh, and good point about the title, as if I recall correctly it wasn't until the 18th century that there was a standardized English language. As such, spellings could vary greatly.
Thanks. Hope that people won't consider this too boring because of my constant improvisations.Excellent! About time somebody wrote an AAR for this mod!![]()
Thanks, Beer Money! Basically this will be the style from now on: general descriptions (depicting both historical and fictional events), battle descriptions and character interaction. I'm sure some readers may find this AAR to be dull since I haven't plunged yet into battles.Nice lead-up! Definitely great character development!
Yes, Dublin is a Royalist city, they're recovering after some serious events so the place needs a stronger garrison.Interesting situation you're in, do you have any territories in Ireland?
Thanks, much appreciated.Good AAR. I Will be following
Portsmouth lost within a single day over 400 inhabitants, most of them honest and hard-working people.
I spent 4 years in Pompey and I reckon your riot must have killed all of the honest and hard-working people as there was none when I lived there!
Nope, not a single problem there or during the rest of the campaign. I pushed them back and fought them north of that bridge.Be careful about fighting on that bridge down in Cornwall it has a habit of crashing the game. Never did figure out what was going on there.
Many thanks, AD. Hopefully, I'll be updating this daily for the rest of the week since I have some free time on my hands. My main concern is about describing the battles since each battle is heavily documented (pics), guess I got overly ambitious with my first TW AAR.Great AAR I'll be checking in daily.
