Come one, come all! I shall test the intelligence of foot artillery like the 12lb versus a common stone!
In the military effectiveness department!
The 12lb can be an instant kill, though 9 out of 10 shots is a MISS!

Whilst a stone can be a kill if aimed properly, and usually 9 out of ten shots are a HIT! Also, if they don't kill, they can cause hours of excruciating pain!

So the rock bags it in the effectiveness department!

And in the intelligence department?
When ordered to stand still, an artilery unit starts walking around. When ordered to limber and start moving, only one gun limbers while the others just sit there. and vice versa. Meanwhile, the crews and horses don't do anything!

As for the rock, when ordered to sit still, it sits still! How smart is that?

Sooooo anyone notice how when ordered to limber your 12lb foot artilery ends up limbering one or two cannons while the others just stand there? I even ordered them to withdraw and they all stood still. Isen't this the kind of thing patches are supposed to fix?

If you don't like the accuracy, then yeah, get APE:TI, things get a little more leathal.

Oh, and I rarely move my cannons after the initial movement after deploying, so I get no bugs

Infact APE:TI's artillery needs to be toned down its TOO accurate makes cav useless

what i do is i move cav around the sides of the arty's firing arc so they have to turn around(which is usually slow) to get an angle.

Lol the installation of PE looks complicated as hell. And i cant find scripting.ula

Well my game crashes when the mod launches.
Is there a way to mod the arty accuracy myself?

Find Pack File Manager 1.11b. It allows you to change many of the unit stats. In particular you want to go edit the patch/db/unit_stats_land_tables.
