what are the rest of your specs?

Video card?
Is your cpu single or dual core?

if you are using an AGP based single core system even with the ram upgrade the outlook is probably not good.

I have a AMD athlon xp 3200+
2.20 GHz, 512mb of ram (soon to be 1gig 256mb)

My video card was a upgrade for BF2 it is a GeForce 6200

well the minimum is a 2.4ghz single core, 1gb ram, and a 256mb(not sure what you have) shader 2(your card is fine there) compliant video card.

Memory ranges from 128 MB/256 MB/512 MB on that card I don't know which you have.

Basically, the game "might" run, and even if it does, I doubt it will be a good experience.

I had p4 2.4ghz 1.5b mem 256mb 6800GT system at one time as i recall BF2 struggled on medium settings if things got remotely busy.

If i had to upgrade from a 2.2 to a 2.4 ghz processor how much would that set back a poor college kid?

wouldnt waste the money on a single core and I doubt it would really run much better. You really need a whole new set up if you want to run newer games. (If you got a dual core you would need a new motherboard, and because of the new motherboard you would need a new video card and pending whether the mb had enough ide slots for your HDD's you would need new HDD's).

You would seriously probably experience bad performance on the lowest of low settings with your current set up.

Only thing I can reccomend is get a job and save :)

Nm above poster has had a decent experience, please note the though the above poster is probably using the best AGP card available (if you could still find one anymore)

Try it, who knows...

I played through Fallout 3 on my old computer and it was well below the minimum specs. I was even able to set high textures without a noticeable framerate drop.

That card is a alot more powerfull than the 6200 that the OP has.

hate to say it m8 but i suspect that the game will run like a pig with that GPU.

Prove me wrong and i will be very happy for you
