I want to sincerely thank the makers of APE: TI and of the AUM mod for making my E:TW experience truly enjoyable. I have not had as good a time with a TW game since I played RTW:EB and want to express my gratitude for all the hard work they have (and presumably, still are) put into this mod.
Having played it safe for the first part of my campaign, expansion was very slow, with only Saxony and Bavaria falling to my forces in outright wars against their original owners. However, Austria fell victim to several Rebellions in various territories which was exploited by the AI, and when Wurttemburg decided to get squirrelly and invade Austria itself, my forces were ready to move. In slightly less than 10 turns, both Wurttemburg and Austria fell, followed in short order by Hungary (itself an independent nation) and Croatia. At this time, my forces have consolidated their grip on the former Austro-Hungarian territories, and we now stand poised to invade Polish territories. 4 full stacks of armies will swoop into West Prussia, Silesia, Serbia and Poland cutting their territories in half.
I really enjoyed watching territory after territory turn gray as both the Austrians and the Ottomans tottering empires revolted, and enjoyed even more that the UP have taken over Belgium, France and Spain. Guess who is next on my list?:shifty:

whoops not Württemburg he said they invaded Austria lol

i agree this is the best mod for ETW - - - i mean look at the team! they are all extraordinary modders and if you ask them they are humble and always helpful.

I am playing as Prussia. Yeah, the UP took over Belgium, France, Spain, Morocco and then Portugal. Spain then apparently had a rebellion and took back their home territory a few turns back. Poland just lost their last territory to me last turn or so, and when Russia (who was allied with P-L and had declared war on me) saw how quickly their borders were getting closer to mine, they sued for peace (and after I decimated 2 full stack armies in the Balkans).

Poland fought hard, but didn't fight long, and poor little Courland who had stayed independent the entire game, made the mistake of rattling their sabre's a little too loudly and where my invading armies could hear them...so Courland isn't around anymore.

Venice just declared war on me...for reasons that defy explanation. So they'll be going down very soon as well.

While I refuse to take back my former statement that this mod rocks, I will have to add that I hate my computer and while it might be good enough to run vanilla with no problem, it has been having serious issues with this mod.
Sadly, when I got up to 1753 or so, the game starts to hang on the Maratha turn (which is really no surprise since they own all of India (minus Ceylon), all of the Middle East (minus the Levant) and are in the process of overrunning Russia.
Nothing against this mod, but my computer obviously cannot handle the amount of information being processed during the Marathan's turn. Sadly, I'm going to have to go back to playing vanilla...
Keep up the good work on this, to those associated with it, and hopefully I'll get a better computer soon and be able to rejoin the fun!

I agree that this is the best work I have ever seen. I only find myself coming in here to post a screen shot, and see whats new. I am so badly hooked, I am embarrased to tell you all how long I have been playing today, and for the past week. lol, I'm pathetic, lol
Since l33tl4m3r pointed out my 1750 lag was cuz the faction was huge, I am extremely apologetic about anything negative I ever said about ETW, even though it took the hard work of some very fine modders to make me giddy all over again about this game. There is no bottom to the well of my appreciation to the team that did this incredible work. Thank you again.

it doesn't cost a dime to be nice, yet has the highest return on investment....grandpa

This mod has seen a lot of work I can see that but unfortunately I can't seem to enjoy it . I feel like its not (what's the word) serious I mean that it's to some sort messed up with building prices really expensive, the units take 2-3 turns to build which is a problem when the campaign turn speed is reaaaally slow I find the veterancy system rediciolous (ex: I had a unit killing 20 men and got 3 stripes!!!), the advisor screen pops up every turn 3 times which can be irritating after 40 turns it just NEEDS more serious work. ps: I have a really good CPU i7 2.8GHZ, 2 9500 Nvidia , 4GB (DDR3) Ram windows 7

Units can take from 1 to 4 turns depending on their level of ability on the battlefield.

Buildings are much more expensive and take longer to build.

Both of these changes work WITH the extra turn per campaign year, not against.

I find the veterancy system rediciolous (ex: I had a unit killing 20 men and got 3 stripes!!!),

This is simply false -- when I return home today I will post the actual experience thresholds.

the advisor screen pops up every turn 3 times which can be irritating after 40 turns it just NEEDS more serious work. ps: I have a really good CPU i7 2.8GHZ, 2 9500 Nvidia , 4GB (DDR3) Ram windows 7

Do you mean the advisor screen at the top left or do you mean the notices that drop down the left side of the window?

Both serve very important functions; letting you know your manpower and supply situation from the top left window and telling you about resistance, tax adjustments, and recruitment slots with the notices.

APE: TI is a completely different gaming experience than vanilla Empire and takes some getting used to and relearning how to play!

Hope that helps, good luck!

I agree, best mod ever! I wonder if perhaps we will have a NTW take on it..? :thumbsup2

It all depends on how moddable Napoleon is; the Team HAS talked about it and if we find the next TW to be moddable to our liking we WILL be coming back for NTW. :)

Huzzah! Here's to hoping, then :)

Yes, good news !

We really appreciate the support!

As staunch a supporter of CA as I am, I really hope to see a more open approach to NTW. :)

There are great possibilities considering the additions to gameplay they are talking about and I really hope the team can take advantage of the new engine and gameplay options.

I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank THE APE/TI TEAM for making the experience I have had so enjoyable. In the past year I have started many s.p. campaigns of the vanilla game, never to finish them due to boredom,( falling asleep lol) bugs or frustration. I have had more fun with this Mod, in 2 months than I had with the vanilla version in a year. Now I actually look forward to another, new, more challenging campaign. To have over 63 million GP, and 80 territories is more than I ever anticipated.
During this whole experience the TEAM has answered all of my goofy questions with such tact and patience, leaving me even more appreciative of your fine work. I wish only the best to you all.

+1 rep to you all

I don't know how DMUC is built but I would assume it is modfoldered as well -- they should work side by side with no problem!
