Background information

Medieval Georgia

Kingdom of Georgia at peak of its military dominance, 1184-1225

The Georgian Kingdom reached its zenith in the 12th to early 13th centuries. This period has been widely termed as Georgia's Golden Age or Georgian Renaissance. The revival of the Georgian Kingdom was short-lived however, and the Kingdom was eventually subjugated by the Mongols in 1236. Thereafter, different local rulers fought for their independence from central Georgian rule, until the total disintegration of the Kingdom in the 15th century. Neighbouring kingdoms exploited the situation and from the 16th century, the Persian Empire and the Ottoman Empire subjugated the eastern and western regions of Georgia, respectively.

The rulers of regions which remained partly autonomous organised rebellions on various occasions. Subsequent Persian and Turkish invasions further weakened local kingdoms and regions. As a result of wars against neighbouring countries, the population of Georgia was reduced to 250,000 inhabitants at one point.

WOOOW .... HOLY "!"¤%"#

Congratulations all georgians, You have a superb roster and Units!!! Awesome job AD!

Georgia has the best roster in the whole mod. If they were in vanilla m2tw with these units they would have the best roster in the whole game to!
I hope you can balance it. :D

Despite being exceptionally unique, they are actually quite balanced.
  • Georgia has no anti-armor whatsoever. No axes, no maces, no crossbows, no Javelins. They have no dedicated tools or units to engage armored units, whereas pretty much all their neighbors do (Except I think the Rum turks)
  • Early Georgian cavalry isn't too good, in comparison to their neighbors (Their tier 2 HA are Tier 1 Kypchaks. Their first melee cavalry are tier 3, when Jerusalem gets them at tier 1).

Okay@ Ahiga ;)

Yeah Tadz, offcourse they can - all missile units can fight close combat. The question is if they will have Sword, axe or mace as second weapon.

The monaspa units look so damn good!!!

I think, Georgia have other privileges in battle:

1. real exellent heavy and skillfull swordsmens and real mighty/hardy spearmens.

2. hardy heavy cavalry.

3. unique bodyguard, this is tactical "secret" of Georgians, I think.

4. at last, archers are also effective, especial monaspa archers.

Oh of course. I like Georgia's strengths and I find them to be a unique and enjoyable faction. But it's just to show they aren't unbalanced, or unfair. :original: So there's no worry about balancing it, as they and the other three Christians have their strengths and weaknesses.

One word can describe this!
PERFECT!!!:thumbsup2

No like you charge with Nakharar infantry trough they're ranks, maces have a bonus agianst armour, so will they be able to cut through their ranks

And the final masterstroke of Broken Crescent 1.0 is complete... I propose that AD become deified as a modding god.

Love the roster, real heavy stuff with twist of eastern flavour. They're definitely on the top 5 of my "got to play" factions now!

What are your top 5 got to play list? :P

Mine is:

Armenia ( offcourse )
KoJ
Ghazni
Abbasids
Makuria
