    Default Huge Rebel Cities?

    Yo dudes.
    I wanted to make my game more exciting, so have modded some settlements to be huge from the beginning of the game. However, when i came to try this with genua, Pergumum and Halicarnassus i was diappointed to find that what had worked with other cities had not worked with them.

    However, when i started a new campaign, this is what i saw:



    Anyhoo, Genua is still a village. I have delted map.rwm hoping it was a problem there, but it wasnt. Anyone know of a way for me to fix this? Thankee chaps

    Also, i have changed other rebel settlements such as Crete and it has worked.
    BTW, i am using TE as the base

    Well, the Gauls are the Faction_creator, and the rebels own it....are the Gauls even allowed to build an Imperial Palace
    in TE?

    All cultures can build all city levels in TE.

    Thx for the reply Lusted.
    I did however try as suggested, and set the faction creator as romans_julii:



    No luck however, Genua is still a village.
    DOes anyone have a suggestion please?

    Yep, you've probably got an error above that city (and any others that are now appearing as empty villages) in descr_strat. There are some formatting errors - eg.too many or few {}s
    and extra characters ` being frequent culprit (as its above tab key on keyboard) that stop game reading descr_strat below that point - so it does same as it does if you don't list region in descr_strat and gives it a default empty village.

    (If you've also lost your rebel armies as well - that would pretty much confirm that, thats the type of problem)

    an advise
    use microsoft word
    rather than notepad
    to avoid typo errors

    Even better is to use UltraEdit. It can give colours to various parts of RTW code, like when you wrap some text in PHP tags on twc. Also, it is very easy to see if you've missed a { or } in your code.

    lol ty m8 i figured dat out a wile ago lol by mistake lookin fo ways to create extra cities i didnt figure it out cuz i can make a city but not a province in dat file but ne wai i made rebels playable although there is no description or map in the faction chooser,

    although i havn't managed to make new provinces such as brighton portsmouth or edinburugh as i would like i did manage to start off rom_julli (ma fav) owning 4 provinces the 2 original and 2 above them and made a rebel town start off as roman design but anyway if you know how to make new provinces and add new cities without ctd errors plz tell me (i have included the file that you need to put in your rtw directory/world/campaign/imperial_campaign to make all civs including roman senate and rebels (rebals are almost impossible to own as because there men are so un unified because of no main capital and being enemy's off all, anyways enjoy any1 who wants a short cut to roman citys being huge and owning 4 settlements .

    sry forgot to add this b4 how do i make londinium as a roman julli city (i tried but crashes unlike when i make segesta roman also i made the start date 10bc and the end date 200ad meaning its a harder campaign but 420 turns should be plenty although i would like to make it so that i need to own rome and own all provinces lol plz help if you can
