About FMIR:

Are you using those great looking Prometheus Augustian legions with lorica hamata and rectangular shields (IIRC Cohors Res Publicae in RG)?
About these or perhaps the Ferres Augustan/Claudian legions....how difficult would it be, for an individual to add them into game to be recruitable at correct date. If I played 77BC or First Triumvirate mod up until about AD 30:hmm:
Just a thought... I am determined to have a Pricipate mod in some shape or form.
Incidentally whats happened? I was sure FMIR was due out any day now:thumbsup2

:laughter:

Excluding, beta testers, the only current members of the team are Salvor and me. Rest assured we are fairly close to a release but there is only so much two people can achieve ;)

Salvor isn't around at present to answer your other question. However, I'm sure he will respond in due course...

Thanks for the interest in FMIR

By the way if I want to play the mod what I must download? Im a bit confused. Also it's modfoldered, right?

The FRRE is actualy a mod serie containing four different mods:
1.) The First Triumvirate mod which offers 5 different campaigns following the lives of the triumvirs and some of their enemies (Vercingetorix, Surena)
2.) 77 BC: The Twilight of the Republic is all faction playlable mod staring in 77 BC with special scripted missions for the roman faction.
3.) 58 BC: Caesar Imperator is a mod devoted exclusively to the career of Gaius Iulius Ceasar. You will start in 58 BC as a proconsul of Illyria, Cisalpine and Transalpine Gaul and sripted missions will lead you throufh the Galic War and Civil War :)
4.) The First Man in Rome is newest, not yet released allfactions mod set in the time of the competition between Sulla and Gaius Marius
All of the mods are modfoldered :)

Hey Everyone! How's it goin? como esta FMIR? :D

FRRE Stage One (sometimes confused with "FMIR") is @ 85% delivery - TFT, 77BC and 58BC are available as individual mods. FMIR is semi-available but it's in a beta state and we're not currently working on it.

FRRE Stage Two is porting all these mods to the M2TW engine and adding a lille juice. We might even be able to include the original FMIR campaign (i.e. Sulla etc.) in TFT2 (more info in my sig).

Hardin's permission is necessary to continue the finishing touches and release isn't it? I really hope something bad didn't happen to him. If it did, we may never know. Now ofc his health is most important, but this mod is virtually 99% completed and it can't be released until he returns. I've played the beta, there were a few issues but it is very good. I really pray and hope Hardin is okay and returns asap.

Since 77BC was developed under the umbrella of FRRE then i'm sure we can get the proper authorisation if a past FRRE team member wishes to finish the work. We are currently working on porting TFT over to M2TW and when this is done we might start porting the other FRRE mods over to M2TW. It all depends on interest and modding resources.

I can't comment on the reason for Salvor's absense as I had a hiatus at the time.

I greatly anticipate the port. But only 3 factions is a bit disapointing. Now, ofc, y'all's mods are excellent on their own. But rare factions, particularly the Hasmoneans are a huge draw to FRRE mods. FMIR is almost completed. Buccellari is still around but I think he said that it cannot be finished without Hardin's blessing.

My apologies Prince of Judah, I didn't notice the thread title I was responding to. I'm talking about The First Triumvirate not FMIR. The Hasmoneans are not relevant to TFT2, but they might be to FMIR. I'll ask Bucellari and get back to you.

re the limited number of playable factions in TFT: each new faction in TFT is a new campaign. It's just the way we like it - some people hate it and other people love it.

Buccellari is still around but I think he said that it cannot be finished without Hardin's blessing.

Salvor and I operated as a team albeit the division of labour was always rather one sided i.e. I did the history and Salvor did the rest :laughter:

Unfortunately I cannot locate the latest version of the beta. If Prince of Judah is willing to up-load his copy (assuming it is the most recent) KP may wish to finish FMIR as part of his wider FRRE 'project'. Either way I certainly have the authority to provide the relevent permission...
