I can almost 100% guarantee you that you could go to a flash game website (Addictingames.com, Kongregate, newgrounds, etc.) and find a clone of Total War Battles, for free, that is probably better than what CA has done.

Im not going to take the high ground here and say Im not buying this for some ethical reason. No, Im not buying this because it is a dinky flash game, and I'd rather spend my gaming time playing real games. If this game were great, I would probably buy it dispite this whole Sendai thing.

Yea, total war battles just isn't my cup of tea. I have seen it before and I don't want to lower my self to app playing. I've seen people pour 20 bucks on stupid little games just to get extra money in game.

CA even charges money for exp. in game if you don't want to play the bonus missions.

I get way more enjoyment from mount and blade: fire and sword that I had just bought at the steam sale for $2.50. That is what I'd rather put money into.

When I first saw title of this thread I thought it was some sort of embarrasing confession, like posting that you get excited by watching dogs defecate on the lawn, and you are so ashamed of yourself
But seriously: Its ok by me if you like the game (you could write a little bit more about it though, because it's weird to start a new thread only to state that you liked it). Games for handheld devices are govern by their own rules, and are designed to be played diffrently than pc games. So I see no real connection between TW game on PC and something to play on the phone, although it might be fun when you have nothing else to do. I'm not to judge who plays what and what kind of money he pays for his entertainment.
When it comes to bonus content - well, that's just the way to promote this handheld game, and has little to do with Shogun itself, because it was designed to be a game on its own without those factions playable. Main purpose of this idea was to make you want to have it available in your game, and to maybe buy this app.
Of course I understand why a lot of you feel that this marketing practice is unfair, and I don't quite like the way it's heading myself, but let's not make big fuss about it either (all you get with this is new starting location and your units are of different color- so it's rather strange for me that someone would want to pay for that). But when they'll ask me to pay for bayonets in FotS or something like that- that's another story. I still can't decide if I'm ok with blood effects being a DLC and not a patch.

I was being nice and biting my tounge before,(Becuase it's so easy to unlock them anyway) but now that I've seen where they're taking it, I think it's about time I started speaking up.

If you're so desperate about that, there are tons of illegal mod over internet that unlock all playable factions in FoTS. That's one of th me ways that you can try to punish CA

i found it fun too, and it was all worth it when it ame to the sendai.

Also, Im not "Punishing" CA. That's ridiculous. Im not CA's mother.

Im CA's customer. and I am pissed that they have broken my product, said they would fix it, didn't, and now keep trying to sell me more DLC. (And forced me to download it whether I want it or not. Or, even if I already own it.)

I'd like to play it but I only have a pc. Hope they adapt it at some point as a cheap steam title.

So .. it's been released then ???? hmmm, i wonder if it's better than AncientArtOfWar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdgwPOf2BCA) ??

I don't own a pad and won't be buying one until it has the power of a laptop.

Dear Visser, I am not really sure if you are extremely brave and spit death right into his skinny pale face, or if you are rather masochist in desperate need for getting beaten up. Posting the above text in this hardcore PC (sic!!!) Total War player forum is much like a Satanist walking right into the Vatican, the very heart of the Roman Catholic church, yelling "Hey folks I worship Satan, I am a follower of the Big Black One himself and how do you like that!?!?!?!"
And after that, with some angry bunch of Jesuit warrior monks, sword wielding Knights Templar and the whole Spanish Inquisition with torture tools on the ready closing in on him, the Satanist adds "Oh yeah I spit on your stinking Messiah and his so called father god! Yes I do! Listen, Maria had a good gang bang and the Pope smokes pot, and now I will sacrifice this black catholic cat to my Master Satan, right here on the the sacred floor of the Vatican muahahahaha...."
This is roughly comparable to praising TW:battles here in these boards
