I think it's California's Glass Beach. The rocks in the sea don't seem to match with the Glass Beach of Vladivostok.

Sorry for the delay on this. I was at a conference, then at a wedding, and had no time to check. Abdül is right though, and it is indeed Glass Beach outside of Fort Bragg CA. The turn is his.

Damn, had in mind to answer past week and then forgot. That's Ljubljana, the view is from the Castle. Visited the city like 7 o 8 years ago and used to travel to Slovenia pretty regularly in the past.

Correct! I visited it just two weeks ago. Small but beautiful city, but the weather was sweltering. It must be even worse in Italy right now...

    Peidi.. what?

It's PIEDILUCO dammit. Been there to eat on a nice restaurant near the lake (of PIEDILUCO) this past Thursday, got drunk like a pig

I visited the Rocca long ago, it's a steep way all up there and you are not allowed to get up with any motorized vehicle. Won't go there again, not even for a pizza margherita.

It is indeed, the ruins of one of the few hill castles of the Netherlands. It was blown up by the Dutch in 1672 to prevent the French from using it to threaten Maastricht. That didn't stop the French from taking the city of Maastricht a year later though (Vauban's first siege, D'Artagnan of musketeer fame died there).

Well, since no one else is taking this I'll take a guess at Masada.
