What's most surprising is that Rome II didn't get the Best DLC award, or Best FPS; and I guess the first few months were pretty horrible so it also deserves the Best Horror Game award.
What... why... the fact Rome II made it is bad enough, but it bet Wargame Airland Battle? I can understand some people enjoy Rome II, but for crying out loud, IT IS NOT better than unique, fun games such as WAB. WAB works, for one.
I wanted EU4 to win. I forgot to vote in the last round, and it would have tied for first if I had. Darn.
Thanks for setting this up guys. Can't wait to participate next year.
EU4 definitely deserves it, and they're releasing very good DLC for it lately (and the patches are adding and improving amazing things... take note CA)
For the most part, everything chosen and those winning, is more or less how i would have gauged it myself. Seems like a pretty good round up, one of the actual gamers too prime example, the Red Orc series, quite underated imo, that how call of duty should have ended up to some extent. EU4, old gods dlc, sounds about right too! Nice to see Panzercorp made it into the nominations too.
great work!

Re: TWC's Best Games of 2013 Results
Wondering why Skyrim/DLC's didn't get any mentioning ... i'm totally sucked in by this fantastic game since last x-mas (using tons of amazing mods, of course).
Is that game already too old for a 2013 vote?
Else, on the pure strategy-platform EU IV deserves it all.

Dragonborn was considered only because it was initially very late in 2012 so it could count as 2013, but ultimately decided against it.
Things I trust more than American conservatives:
Drinks from Bill Cosby, Flint Michigan tap water, Plane rides from Al Qaeda, Anything on the menu at Chipotle, Medical procedures from Mengele
Dragonborn was considered only because it was initially very late in 2012 so it could count as 2013, but ultimately decided against it.
Just to build off this we had to make a few executive decisions on what games/DLC counted based on release date, region, and system. Once we determined priority we eliminate nominations that failed to meet the criteria. On the bright side, some games that people wished to nominate this year will be options for next year.
I deeply hate Rome2, so I'm here to celebrate the fact that on Total War Center, the "Strategy" .... cough! .... cough! .... (sorry!) game named Rome 2 Total War has got only 26 votes against 67 votes of Europa Universalis IV!
