    A mulligan?

I never saw anything about awards at all, but I don't use this site much so that is probably why. Anyway, seems to me that as long as there were a similar amount of votes as in previous years then it is 'legit' enough. I mean it is just a popularity contest anyway so there is no way to make it completely fair without a buttload of work in showcasing. Nominations are not as important as voter turnout, just my 2 cents. The voters are the ones who decide after all, so would it have really turned out differently if the same peeps and the same amount are voting?

There were less votes than last year, but it was somewhat badly advertised this year.
It'll probably be better advertised next year.

Uh oh... Just don't tell the winners that. I think with the nature of this site (and most forums) that the results would have turned out pretty much the same anyway. Just like politics, you only vote for people you know or have at least heard of.

I'm one of them, so it's too late
But yes, I think the results would have mostly been the same with more votes, except maybe for the RTW modders where the turnout was particularly low (look at the amount of people who won "Mentor", for example)
