Ok so being playing loads of RS 1.6a, medieval KGCM by dave scarface and TATW by the legendary KK.
This might be a total noob observation but one thing that RS is lacking is big army support....
OK. first before everyone jumps on the settings/graphics/performance pony read first.
On medieval(vanilla/other mods) with units set huge and unit graphics on highest i always get the polite prebattle message concerning pc performance yakkity schmakkity.....which i have come to accept and live with.....
Then after loading Dave's KGCM and tatw 1.4, i did some careful observations and noticed that all of a sudden i was allowed reinforcements and battles that normally would be impossible, anything over 5000 troops used to be a dream!
I dont know whether it was improved coding in Med2 etc or Dave and KK found a way to bypass the min. specs. fail safes.
But whatever it was it works a treat and although on some really huge battles my fps drop a little its well worth it as troops die the battles speed up and resolve much better than thrashing an army, gaining experience and then having all the troops wiped out before the fresh troops arrive......
I would love to see this 'improvement' for RS2, as the units are absolutely gorgeous and the battles need to be bigger (in my humble and greedy opinion).
Maybe something worth investigating.....
