Just set up the competition so that I win. I have already given everyone my address and see no harm in doing so.

Lol, yes, that is an option. Alternatively, I could also add a disclaimer to the competition that competing in it means that you might have to provide your address if you win, unless of course you don't want the prize.

It would be so much easier if the winner could just receive a special medal for his account. But of course, our overlords would simply say :nope:. Perhaps if this year's competition goes well and has lots of participation, they might consider it.

You could give the money that the book costs through pay pal or something like that

This is an option. However, it just wouldn't feel right. I detest money competitions. After all, it's mainly for the funzies.

But many here do not have a special PO box or are too young to be able to get one. Which brings up a whole new issue: is it ok to ask for the address of a minor? It's probably best to just avoid this whole mess and figure out an alternative solution for a prize.

If anyone has some fun prize ideas (which do not require sending a package or giving up personal information), please share!

And now Diamat edit your own post too to hide the proofs. Mods can see the edited posts anyway, but still.
