Strange blur (or lower resolutions) after power outage

Hi,

I don't know if anyone encountered this. There was a power outage earlier today.
Later, when I turned on the PC, the total war games (Rome 1 and Medieval 2) have strange blurry screens. It is visible mostly on the strategic map, and with texts. It seems the other programs are not effected, which I find very strange. Checked the driver, and had a troubleshooting session, but I cannot solve it.

I wanted to take a screenshot, but it turns out when I insert the capture into paint, it looks OK, apparently the error exists only in my games.
Imagine the game plays on a lower resolution than what is set in the config.

Does anybody have ideas?

Try changing the resolution with the in game options.

Hi Gigantus, thanks for the tip.

In the meantime I figured it out, it was a windows update issue. Unfortunately the power outage at the same time mislead me, and I started looking for a hardware/video card issue.

Sometimes I really hate that 10 is "not a simple OS, but a solution package".
