They should because it's still their game and there's still a lot of people still playing it. I just checked the EB2 forum and for the most part it has daily posts. How much work could possibly go into it? Not much? I guess you can contact Lusted and see if he can beg for it

Wrong forum but i haven't gotten an answer yet. How do you bring up the cheat menu for Empire? The ~ doesn't seem to be right. So i see RTW BI got a new patch. I guess this is a user made patch and not coming from CA?

It's by the tireless Bagatur Pasha. And I have no idea how to activate the console in ETW,

I can't seem to find where i asked this, you said play around with my graphics options. When there's more lighting around your troops and than farther away is darker that's normal right? That's what i was trying to describe a few weeks ago. And than when your move your mouse in any direction the light and shade will have that kind of "line" as you go from dark to light because your mouse movement is making that area of the map more nearer.

And one more question does that low memory problem get worse with heavy mods? I can easily get 3 hours out of vanilla M2 and nothing happens, usually i'm only ending my game because I'm done playing for the moment

The memory leak problem will stay the same (UI getting messed up and eventual crash). However some mods use very large models and textures that stress the processing - in that case you may have to reduce unit details and unit size through the menu options.

Hi Gigantus just wondering, how are the 4 campaigns of the expansion pack playing? Anybody reporting CTDs or other issues?

I am not aware of any problems as such but I did a composition of some small, non fatal fixes.

You do know that there are a ton of mods out there for M2TW? Some of them are by me (or have my input). Do give it a spin.

Of course. I do have a fancy for eras total conquest. I just never completed a full vanilla campaign before, so i thought i'd go for it.

is the black settlement fix part of this patch you made? Sorry I seem to be a perfectionist.

Nope, that's separate as it's steam only.

I guess i will be downloading both. I have a CD version of M2, but it directed me to steam kind of like ETW did. Pretending I get to the campaigns vs a nice mod. For the first time in 15 years i am hooked and obsessing about a PC game, go CA

You can use your CD key to get a free Steam copy inclusive of the campaigns.

It's ok i'm fine. I ordered the gold version to go just to my computer, but they sent a "gold" version, fully patched and all, that made me log onto steam and install it that way. I have M2 on steam. That's what the cd version of ETW made you do. log onto steam and install it that way.

I do have a question. Does your kingdoms bug fixing download and the black settlement fix override vanilla M2 game files? You're bare geo mod installed like a seperate mod

It wouldn't fix if it didn't override - and both fixes are not in mod form.

And if you are on Steam now then I suggest you follow this tutorial of mine on how to make all kingdom mods Steam compatible (the 'can't find kingdoms.exe' fix).

Ok done. So that's all you have to do is create and rename a second exe to kingdoms?

Correct, nearly all 'kingdoms' mods have only a call to the kingdoms.exe file in their BAT command line - this will take care of that issue for Steam users.

Some mods, like all of my work, do have a 'universal' BAT file that can handle Steam and disk versions of the game, but they are are fairly rare.

Does your bare geomod overwrite vanilla files? Would you're patches for Kingdoms affect mods because it does overwrite vanilla files? Not so sure how to uninstall and reinstall a game on steam, if it's possible.

Bare Geomod is a stand alone mod, nearly all mods (not the very first ones before the kingdoms edition) have their own, dedicated mod folder. Mods for M2TW do not have uninstallers: to uninstall it simply delete it's directory (mods\bare_geomod) and the desktop shortcut.

To actually find the installation simply right click the short cut and choose 'open file location'.
