Dragon will redo his turn as he did, but without taking the dwarven capital city. He played the turn so fast he forgot that part. GG

Not only I forgot the rule regarding the dwarven capital, I also breached it for the other citadel, as it had enough forces inside to prevent gate opening.

Apart from the assassinations from previous pictures, these are all the battles, that took place in the replay:

Thingol the king, still lay unconscious, and the Balrogs , and orc armies seem content for now, to ravage the depths of the Caves of Menegroth, and the surrounding areas of the forest, which began to blaze lighting up the night with fires, and destruction. In the wake of such things, the honour guard to Thingol , made a stretcher and carried the king to Esgalduin [which had been recently retaken], where they took what they could from the broken shops, and settlement, to keep the troops fed. A elven physician they found had returned to Esgalduin to take some last healing herbs and goods from his shop before he planed to flee to the west, was briefly detained and asked to check over the kings condition.

The physician knelt and examined the kings body , checking various points of his body , checking pulse and other tell tale signs, before standing and returning to the remaining leader of the kings guard.

"Well ?....How is he?", inquired the guard, with a edge of urgency in his voice.

"His body is broken but a little on the mend....but its his mind, that is the problem ...whether it was the destruction of the realm, whether it was the destruction of Menegroth or whether its the loss of his family, the will to live is slipping away", the healer paused before he continued thinking a little about the kings condition and symptoms.

"Will he rise again? ...How long will we have to wait?" , asked the nervous guard leader , lacking the vision to do other than his oath gave him charge to do.

"Its not whether he will rise again.....he will probably will not....he waits on, for the forest......, and as the forest dies...so shall he ", said the physician pointing on the forest burning deep in the distance.

After the physician moved to leave the settlement, the elfves moved to shore up the defenses of the settlement as best they could. and moved the king to the largest house in the settlement, which they made into a fortress, for there it would be the last stand of the king of Doriath.

Lord Lathron directed , the last remaining active forces of Doriath to storm the settlement of Methed-en-glad ,which had only had a single orc company left in garrison, and the battle was shortly finished, before he set around making a brief check of its resources ,which were pitiful since these was the third time the settlement had been retaken . Then one of his undercommanders , head of a company of heavily armored elven spearman, asked Lathron his plans...

"Lord, do you plan to re-secure the forest? or perhaps we could ambush the orcs in the forest, and whittle them down , a bit at a time?"

"Nay, it would take you a hundred years with the troops we have here ,to whittle down such numbers, it would be like weeding the wildflowers that grow in the forest.......We could clear a patch, only to find more than we have culled, would have sprung up all over the forest......The treasury of our nation is in tatters ,food is now scarce, forges are cold and the population is lost to Doriath....all we have is us fair few, with no chance of any reinforcement, for the foreseeable future...Therefore my plan is to march to Cirdan's port and have us take ship ...unless of course, Lord Cirdan has some use , for us fair few to be put to...."

WE turn our story to the drawven dilema. they are never able to make gains... this time their assassinsw ere carless and both are now dead.... they were good ones... plus more of their forces were pushed back and defeated. this turn they could only counter attack the small enemy army

the city they gave the elves, in hope of populating that land, will be taken back. the only thing the woodland men did there was to sally out to hurt the enemy, scorring way more kills than expected

and so goes the plan to repopulate those lands....

Onto the elves. the elves were hopping the enemy would take bor city, yet as opposed to in their dreams, they did not. the elves had their army ready for this, and attacked the enemy main force

and they finally score a reasonable death toll (funny most wins gave me 1500-1200 deaths, and then obv with the tone of reloads and repositioning men i got 850-950), also victory here was easy so i realoded more times for better results, as opposed to some battles where getting a victory is already tricky.

Those enemies retreated, but they had the elves behind them.

from this point, a few orcs fleed somehwere else.

While this was happening, Bor did an awesome move and sent reenforcements to the city under siege. and with their help (really good job dude) the enemy was pushed back!

after, enough survivors were still able to reach that orc force and attack them

some mercs joinned and attacked a previously defeated orc general, defeating him again

We end the story with romours of Doriath burning. a general was sent to check with a spy

it found some men guarding a previous doriath fort. and from the distance, they would see the smoke coming from the forest, and it burns and burns.... they cant believe what they assumed happened...
They hope that the other elves can offer more assistance than they were able to give... but they will not rest until the are able to return Doriath to their true owners....

ps: who is house haland? is it being played or just subbed? bc i sent a few dms, and if its being subbed i can do them.

Morgoth's forces continue to ravage the forests of Doriath. More and more forces gather south of the Sirion pass, for the push south. The search for the hidden city of Gondolin, however, remained a priority for Morgoth, for as long as that city existed, it would be a threat to his rule in MIddle-Earth...

The King still lingered on inside the Esgalduin , caught between life and death as the forest continued to be despoiled around him, but the chaos from the shadow continued on, as some of the human refugee's from the house of haldad, those that had been left behind, tiring of the elven fatalism to defend Hirilorn to the death, rebelled, overthrowing the elven fortress, forcing the elven garrison [such that it was] to leave the fortress at swordpoint [they did'nt want to kill the elfs but did want control of the foodstores], these remnants acheived a feat surprising of men ,those that were desperate, and they hoisted their own banner, not one of Haldad, but one for themselfs, as bandits did in such times, where leadership was running low.

    ------------------

Meanwhile to the west of the forest, to the north of Methed-en-glad, the old foes of the elfs of Doriath appeared...., the spiders had arrived with another army, emerging in the light forest to the north of Cirdan's elfven army group. Lord Lathron worried that this was a attempt to draw the falathrim northwards ,so the orcs within the old haldad settlements to the north could counter against them in the next season, asked for volunteers to go north to confront them, and to his surprise, all volunteered to the last elf. Picking some few to hold the settlement, the Elfven army of Doriath moved northwards to confront their old foe, perhaps one last time..

The forest was pretty light to the north, as the elfven army group formed up, unleashing arrow volleys onto the spiders who were seemly taking their rest in beds of spider webs, and the suddenness of the elven attack took them unawareness, bringing confusion to their camp. It took some moments before the larger , more adult of the spiders, whipped the younger ones into shape, with the chattering of spider-language, the young spiders were unleashed in a sudden rush onto the elven lines, only again to be taken by surprise as the elven heavy warriors took to the fore, unleashing spear and sword, and spilling spiderblood in abandonment. The elven line held, as the forest warriors combined their skills and weapons to contain the large beasts, and it was in this moment, that the adult spiders with their leader took to the field moving to join the battle, the leader spiders body, gorged by long years of feasting , stoodout clearly as the largest foe, on the field, surrounded by adult spiders of some age and rank.

Elven horns rang out, and the remainder of the great cavalry of Thingol, who had spent some time, building up a great host, but now few in number, but not in deed, as the elven riders swept in from the side of the wood, the horses of these elven warriors , were galloping their hearts out, as the elven cavalry slammed into the leaders forces, causing alarm. Some of the larger spiders protecting the leader fell dead or wounded to deeply thrust lances, some where pinned to trees or early ground, clearly out of the battle as their many legs fluttered in the air, or started to collapse into themselfs. Others spider, more stout or quick to see the danger sprang on the elven calavry scattering horses and riders here and there , much to screams of their riders and mounts alike, as they were hurled into trees, many dying in the process from the impact. Temporary distracted ,the spider leaders bodyguard's moved towards their downed prey , seemly eager to feast upon fresh horse and elf flesh.

The spider leader now finding himself alone on the battlefield, when Lord Lathron covering in spider ichor moved out of the chaos of combat, it would be written up perhaps, in the lore of this time, that his helmet and breastplate shone brightly in the light , but it was not so, his armour was coated with spider icon, black and gooey , but his spear still was sharp, and he still moved quickly with the grace of the eldar. The fangs of the spiderleader snapped here and their , just a inch to slow to catch the warrior elf, its maw snapping either side of his head, but his backflip and ducking ,allowed him to flank the giant beast, until he managed a opening to climb onto its back, stabbing downwards with a mighty blow, the spider leader, stood back on its highlegs, seemingly in a silent scream, before it righted itself, and fled backwards into the forest in great haste, to the northeast with the spear lodged in its back. The spiders forces had mainly been eliminated , the blows of the well trained doriath elfs, taking their toil once more on their old foe, but some still remained.....but not for long, as seeing their leader , flee in pain away from the fight, their endurance left them and they deserted the field, leaving the dead and dying elfs and spiderkin all littered together, just another battlefield of the elder days, to be swallowed by the forests , tide and time.....

All hope seemed lost. Annon en Gelydh and the surrounding region had already been completely ravaged by war as the great Balrog armies had passed through on their warpath. Yet still the foe had failed to crush the Edain in this region completely. With the great hosts of darkness gone and only small orcish garrisons encamped in the region the men had risen up, and come down from the hills. They forced the enemy out, but now the Balrogs had sent a whole army of orcs back to crush the remaining Edain and wipe them out. The last warriors remained bottled in the ruins of a once great city that they had made a fortress, the walls crumbling around them. This would be the last stand of the Edain.

Lord Arandur, upon arriving in the Firth of Drengist with his fleet, saw smoke rising in the east. Sailing up the Firth with the Falathrim relief force, the Elves found the Edain city of Annon en Gelydh completely surrounded by orcs, several large camps in each direction. It was obvious there were still men in the city, warriors ever loyal to the failing house of Marach. It was also clear that they were hopelessly outnumbered. Great horns sounded upon the Elves arrival, first the horns of men ringing from the city, and then horns of orcs blasting from the frosty hills drowning out the former. Arandur gave the order to sound the Elvish horns, louder still and clear. Those signaled his troops to prepare for a fight. Bows were strung, swords and armor donned as the ships reached riverbank. And then they disembarked.

The battle was bloody. The orcs met the Elves on the bank in disorganized units. Arandur's warriors cut those down with ease, sending the creatures back to their camps. Then, before Arandur could form a proper battle line, the orcs came with nearly all their strength. These beasts hated the Elves, and attacked with ferocity. The Falathrim were driven to the brink in close fighting. Many drowned in the freezing river.

Arandur nearly gave the order to withdraw back to the safety of the ships, but in that moment the Edain proved true. Horns rang, and the Men burst forth from the beleaguered city. Warriors, old and young, crashed into the Orcish force, striking like a thunderous hammer. The great host of orcs fought back, but Arandur could feel the battle shifting. His Elves pushed up the bank and onto solid ground, and finally met the Edain. Man and Elf fought side by side against the foe. The orcs, with no Balrogs leading them, broke ranks and fled tbe city, retreating back north to their more secure camps.

    Gondolin up. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cFg...ew?usp=sharing

Cirdan arrived in Doriath with his army. The forest seemed . . . strange to him. Like it was alive and mourning a great loss. The girdle of Melian was broken--he knew that for many seasons--and Thingol was defeated. Menegroth was burned and sacked by the unstoppable forces of the foe, the smoke still present in the east. Doriath was clearly fallen, but if Thingol was alive, then he was still king of all the Sindar, and Cirdan and his warriors would remain loyal.

The havens swelled with refugees, Noldor and Edain from the north, and now Sindarin Elves from Doriath. It was getting difficult to manage all the new souls, but the havens were safe for them for now.
