The Welsh muster. The war drums are sounded, and the Welsh flock to war once again. The loss of Caernarvon struck the Welsh hard, as it was the old capital, and an important mark of importance. However, strategically it did not play that much of a role, with the center of power lying further inland. All the loss of it did was the fuel the Welsh hearts, and make them ready to march to war again. For the cultural importance was large. Caernarvon represented centuries of Welsh resistance against the English, and now it fell to someone who could only be described as worse. There will be consequences. The Welsh are coming, and the Welsh will fight. No pesky Norwegian scum can remove them from these isles. King Llewellyn lays his plans, and the Norwegians will be slaughtered. For now though, they march.

The heathens were pushing further into mainland England trapping King Simon in a pincer move one which he knew he wouldn't survive if he was to stay camped at his current location.

In the dead of night Simon and his men break camp stealing a nights march before King Haakon knew of his movements. Travelling through woods to stay hidden the last bastion of the Barons military turn north and move to strike back at the enemy reclaiming the fort that lay between Simon and the Prince Magnus..

With the fort back in English control King Simon was now in range of the heathens in the north and set out with a vengeance attacking the Prince and his men north of York forcing them to retreat back into their forts.

After the battle King Simon of York sends a envoy to King Haakon with clear a message.. there will be no surrender, the people of the north will either drive the invaders back into the sea or die in attempt..

It was drep night. The Welshman sat in the tavern, quitley observing. In bursted a large, barmy bearded fellow, who made straight for the inkeep and ordered a large mug of beer. His accent sounded Scandinavic, and he had the looks to fit it. But what was a Norwegian doing in Dublin? The Norwegian sat by the bar, emptying his mug and refilling it several times over. He then turned to the barkeep, and asked in what was clearly meant to be a hushed voice: " You haven't noticed a cloaked figure, sitting here for most of the day?". The innkreper understood that this was supposed to be subtle, so he gently nodded towards a highborn-looking Irishman, who had been sitting there since before the Welshman had entered the tavern.

The Norwegian started walking away from the bar, and straight towards the Welshman. He prompty sat down at the table, and burped loudly.
"You wouldn't happen to be delivering messages, would you?"
"I do"
"Ah, very good Irishman, then you're supposed to have this"
The Welshman was handed a folded roll of parchment sealed by a red wax seal marked with a lion clutching an axe. The heraldry of Norway. The Norwegian headed back to the bar, and the Welshman promptly left the tavern and took the first ship back to Wales, and hurridley rode to Lywellyn. He delivered the roll, seal still intact.



Lywellyn read the parchment, before setting it aside.
"Not caring bout our allies, rather taking on rebels, are we? I'll show him who we'll truly march on. Trumpeteer, sound the march. We make for north, to Chester!"

The Welsh army moved north, and out the small garrison of Chester under siege. The Barons Alliance are not alone in this war, and hopefully more aid will come to them. The Norwegians are treatcherous, and inclined to break alliances and spite others. This cannot be allowed to go on.
